I am absolutely furious with Kickstarter. I trusted this platform, backed a project in good faith, and not only did I never receive the product, but they also refused to give me my money back. The creator disappeared, and Kickstarter’s “support” was a joke—just boilerplate responses about how they’re “not a store” while washing their hands of any responsibility.

This feels like a scam. Kickstarter happily took their cut of my pledge but offers ZERO protection for backers when a project fails. They profit while we’re left empty-handed.

I will never back another project here again, and I strongly warn anyone considering Kickstarter: think twice. If something goes wrong, you’re on your own, and they won’t lift a finger to help you.

If I could review on 0 star, I would do it. Didn’t delivered the product and stoled my money. Already did the complain. Your time will come. You should be behind the bars. Trust me, your time will come.

Guess you can leave a zero star review. Untrustworthy company stole money and didn’t deliver a product.

I backed the reinkstone r1 on Kickstarter. Never received the device nor received a refund. Thousands of backers had similar experiences. Nonetheless, the company is still selling other stuff on their website

Absolutely spineless toerags who scammed millions on kickstarter. I personally spent almost 450euro on it and to date zero and. Not even a dud product. Zero reward offered to any backer. Dirtbaga

Reinkstone Kickstarter project 2026122594 collected € 982.468 for development of an e-ink color tablet. Except for some false project updates norhing was ever delivered to Bäckers. HUGE SCAM!

419USD pledged on Kickstarter (22 July 2021) and never received anything. They got a million USD out of this. Scam.

Scammers who took a load of money from Kickstarter (KS project 2026122594) to deliver a e-ink color tablet. They never did that, they blabbered excuses for a couple of years and then just vanished with the money.

Completely ripped off by the Reinkstone R1 Kickstarter. Lied to about production issues and delivery timelines for years.

Do not believe anything this company says or give them a penny of your money. The only thing keeping them from scamming you is an opportunity.

Backed their project for $500 promising a tablet. They strung us along for 3 years and even had the audacity to offer stylus and cover for more money.

kickstarter also needs to be held accountable as they did nothing to help (even though their policy states refund for projects fully back that aren't delivered).

Company did deliver a few units but for the rest of us, just kept stringing us along. First it was COVID, then supply chain issues, then who knows what because even after promising to keep us informed, they went silent. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!

Reinkstone R1, The Ultimate True Color DES E-Paper Tablet is just a scam. Never received a reward, never received an excuse or similar.

A true scam, do not trust this company. I never receive my profuct it was a reinkstone R1 tablet on kickstarter. No sign of existance nothing, they just take the money and gone. At least be honest say that we will never receive it, you fail, we all could understand but no information is the worst information

Failed to deliver product on Kickstarter. They were giving updates making it sound like products were about to ship after solving some new issues. The only thing they didn't do (outside of producing a product) was try to extract additional money from backers. So sad.

I would give less than that as this is a scam. I supported this project on kickstarter and am still waiting for my Reinkstone and the cover I added.

Too many scam projects in Kickstarter : no reward, no refund, no apologize.

This was a complete racket and they haven’t refunded anyone . I no longer support kickstarter and would encourage others to do the same as kickstarter does not enforce their terms regarding repayment

I see my review was preceded by 3 number 5 star reviews which are obviously fake as nobody has received a unit so could not possibly be reviewing the product

this company should be ashamed of itself for stealing over $500 from me and THOUSANDS of other backers on kickstarter. karma. it’s a b!tch. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THEIR PRODUCTS. buy from companies that keep their word.

I backed their project on Kickstarter. At the beginning they were letting us know about the progress of the development of the product until they suddenly went silent. We haven't heard from them since. They took our money and disappeared. Don't fall victim to these scammers, like so many of us did. So disappointing 😞
