What a terrible experience

What a terrible experience! I’ve been a customer here on and off for 15 years but this place has gone down hill.
Whilst waiting I heard an argument with another customer who disputed the prices as they were not as agreed beforehand. Hardly a relaxing start. I’d booked a pedicure and paid extra for removing Shellac and repainting. Next there was no hot water so a kettle was used and I had to ask for more cold water. Good job I checked the temperature before putting my feet in as I might have ended up at the local emergency room with scolded feet. From there things got worse. After being asked to choose my color (they hadn’t my first, second or third choice) so I was thrust several bottles in my hand to choose, I had to overhear the owner swearing down the phone at someone.
I sat awhile as my shellac dissolved but as it didn’t go quick enough for the beautician she filed it off and took off skin on my big toe. The owner came in to inspect and told me they normally say no to taking off shellac that they didn’t put on, even though I’d paid extra for it! Unfriendly and awkward, no hint of warmth nor customer service. I found her arrogant and rude
In between pedicure phase, I had to listen to the therapist washing up. I sat in a massage chair but it was first after 45 minutes that anyone asked me if I wanted to turn it on.
The therapist kept dropping various equipment on the floor and then continued using them without cleaning them.

The place is run down and the waiting area looks like a yard sale with rails of cheaply made clothes all over the place. The magazines I saw in the treatment room were from January 2022. There’s no attention to detail which makes the spa a luxury experience.

I won’t be returning here again while it’s under the current ownership. I’m spending my hard earned cash where people treat you like you’re not an inconvenience to them. A pedicure is a treat that I’m prepare to spend money on but not here.
