Remote Utilities, a reliable remote desktop tool…
Remote Utilities is a reliable remote desktop alternative to those currently available. It is a compact and yet useful remote connection program which is easily installed, does not require a large amount of computer resources or computer skills, is easily installed yet totally effective. The interface is easy to use and offers exactly what you need from it, remote control from one to another computer. Personal use is free for up to 10 computers, so you can feel quite comfortable with the price from the outset. I have been using Remote utilities for around three years now and am so happy that i found and came across this program back then.
Remote is edverything
i find the utility to be very easy for me to use, I am a small to medium sized business servicer and the cost and time saved on site visits is invaluable. sometimes the upgrades are a bit of a nuisance but not worth seeking another solution.

Remote Utilities: The Perpetual, No-Nonsense Remote Access Solution
Remote Utilities hit the sweet spot for me: the Host and Viewer ZIPs unpacked and installed in seconds, and my free perpetual license arrived instantly with just my name and email. I get unattended access, Wake-on-LAN, file transfers and even my own self-hosted server module all without surprise renewals. Unlike TeamViewer’s “lifetime” joke, AnyDesk’s subscription model, RealVNC’s per-host fees. I am aware of RustDesk and Guacamole. Remote Utilities just works. Highly recommend for anyone tired of licensing headaches for the time being.

After using Remote Utilities for a…
After using Remote Utilities for a while to provide IT support and manage remote workstations within our company, I’d like to share my overall experience with this software.
✅ Pros
1. Easy to Use and Set Up:
Remote Utilities has a simple, straightforward interface — not flashy, but easy to navigate, especially for IT professionals. Installation is quick, and setting up a connection just requires installing the app and sharing an ID.
2. Rich Feature Set:
It offers a variety of useful functions, such as:
Full remote control
Fast file transfer
Multi-monitor viewing
Wake-on-LAN
Remote task manager, command prompt, and more tools for IT management
3. Flexible Connection via Internet-ID:
A standout feature is the Internet-ID connection mode, which allows you to connect to remote machines over the Internet without needing to configure port forwarding — a major plus for less technical environments.
4. Strong Security:
The software uses AES 256-bit encryption and supports two-factor authentication (2FA). It also offers the option to set up a self-hosted server for businesses that require maximum data control.
5. Free for Small Teams:
Remote Utilities provides a free license for up to 10 remote PCs — ideal for small IT teams or freelancers.
❌ Cons
Outdated Interface: The UI feels a bit old-fashioned and may not be intuitive for non-technical users.
File Transfer Can Be Slow: Especially when using Internet-ID on weaker connections.
Limited Mobile App Features: The mobile version only supports view-only mode — no full control like the desktop version.
💬 Conclusion
Remote Utilities is a stable, secure, and cost-effective remote desktop solution for individuals and small to mid-sized businesses. While it might not be as polished as competitors like TeamViewer or AnyDesk, its essential features and flexible licensing make it a reliable choice for everyday remote support needs.
