My experience with Renew-It Randburg and Sandton has been nothing short of unacceptable.
What started as a simple repair turned into a six-month nightmare of poor workmanship, broken promises, and repeated damage to my vehicle. Despite giving both branches multiple opportunities to correct their mistakes, my car was returned each time with unresolved defects, obvious paint colour mismatches, and eventually additional damage that was not there before.
The vehicle was ultimately in worse condition than when I originally handed it in.
Communication was poor, accountability was non-existent, and management avoided taking responsibility. Each visit required me to take time off work, only to be met with new excuses and further problems. I was made to feel like the inconvenience was mine to carry, despite Renew-It being the sole cause.
An independent assessor later inspected my vehicle and was visibly shocked by the standard of workmanship.
My insurer has now approved that the vehicle be removed from Renew-It entirely and repaired elsewhere — which speaks volumes.
I would strongly warn anyone against trusting Renew-It Randburg or Sandton with their vehicle. My experience reflects a serious lack of professionalism, quality control, and respect for customers.
If you value your car, your time, and your sanity — look elsewhere.
If zero was an option it would be zero. our car was with this centre from 23 June and fully repaired at least we hope on 3 September. For damage which would typically take not more than a month to repair. Due to the long time that they kept the vehicle upon collection we found our battery to be dead, an immediate out of pocket expense to which they take no accountability and call this a wear and tear expense yet the battery died due to incompetence of not getting the correct parts from the get go. As the client we had to follow up upon follow up to Motus Toyota and to the insurers CIB. We do not have any trust or faith in this company as we to date are living on a prayer that they repaired the vehicle with proper approved parts.
Emails sent to Ilhaam Williams and Liezel Spolander whom we received a whatsap from to state after collection if we had issues to reach out to her but to date after many emails no responses. IF YOUR INSURANCE SENDS YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS CENTRE PLEASE INSIST FOR IT TO BE SENT TO A REPUTABLE, PROFESSIONAL AND HONEST PANELBEATER INSTEAD. Money making racket going on. Absolutely disappointed.
