Worst rental service we ever…

Worst rental service we ever experienced

The seriousness of the matter cannot be overstated:

Last night, September 12, 2025, we returned to our apartment at 20:45 and did not gain access until 00:30. The door was locked with the upper lock, for which we had no key. We fear there has been an intrusion by service personnel with the intent of theft, where the person mistakenly locked the wrong lock upon leaving the scene.

The receptionist contacted the rental company and a technician. We then spent 3 hours of our Friday evening – and the last evening of our holiday – reviewing video recordings of the building in the hope that this could be used for a possible insurance case.

The entire situation was marked by great fear and concern. At the same time, we received no clear information from customer service about when a locksmith or technician might arrive, nor any reassuring follow-up. The technician who came began breaking open the door, but communication about this was extremely sparse, even on his part.
As midnight approached, we feared that we would not be able to access our luggage, and we had a flight at 05:00 the same morning.

After a walk at midnight to calm our nerves, we returned and by chance met the technician at the door on his way home, and only then discovered that the door had been forced open – yet we were never contacted by customer service about the progress of the matter.

We were left outside in fear and uncertainty without access to our belongings. It was pure coincidence that we ran into the technician at the door; otherwise, we would likely have remained outside for several more hours without any follow-up communication from customer service – despite us making it very clear over the phone with your staff that we needed it.

The lack of communication in such a serious matter is utterly unacceptable.

As if this experience was not enough, we also have other serious points of criticism:

An employee at the swimming pool repeatedly rolled her eyes at us while speaking loudly on her phone instead of assisting us.

The sauna and steam bath were cold and smelled of mold. The showers in the spa area were ice cold.
The bathroom in our apartment was flooded after showering due to construction faults.
The furniture and walls of the apartment were worn to the breaking point.

Our stay has been infinitely inadequate compared to the standard we could rightfully expect. Last night, we effectively lost one of three nights of sleep and had the entire holiday experience ruined, when the purpose of such a trip is presumably to be free of worries.

This place is excellent. Right in middle of all the hussle. Bars shops food outside your front door. But close windows of the apartment and u here nothing! Beds were so comfy. Place very clean.

Wonderful stay in Gdansk

We had a wonderful stay in an apartment overlooking the Motława river in Gdansk. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and had a great view. Messages through Booking.com were answered quickly. Only improvement would be having the keys available for pick-up at the reception in the same building as the apartment, instead the keys had to be picked up form their office a short distance away.

“The worst experience! I haven’t received the email with details on how to get into the apartment. I called the phone number they provided many times and nobody answered. I called Booking to make a complaint and, in the end, because it was too late, I spent the night at the airport sleeping on a bench. And after that… I received an email from the host: ‘I hope you enjoy your stay in our apartment.’ Are you serious?!”

Remarkable

I had a very good stay overall. The apartment was clean, quiet and exactly as described, with reliable Wi-Fi and all the essentials in place (though basic kitchen extras such as oil, vinegar, salt, an opener and scissors were not provided).

The only real downside was the communication process: without persistence, I doubt the sleeping arrangements would have been corrected at all. As many other reviews also note, there seems to be a lack of coordination — every time I called I was asked to resend photos I had just submitted and to re-explain the same issues from scratch, a clear sign that previous messages were not being properly read. As an endurance athlete I know a thing or two about persistence and resilience, but I suspect many guests would simply have given up. From an engineering perspective, the absence of a proper platform to manage customer experience and relations (CRM) is evident, and it directly impacts efficiency.

Fortunately, once the matter was finally escalated, the staff on site handled it swiftly and with great professionalism, making sure everything was reconfigured exactly as agreed. From that moment onwards, the experience was excellent: I slept comfortably, felt fully rested, and could focus entirely on my sporting commitments.

The building itself is part of a secure residential complex, with gated access, underground parking, and a private courtyard with a playground at its centre. To enter, one needs a gate code, then a code for the building, then for the apartment floor and finally the unit itself — offering a strong sense of safety and privacy.

Overall, despite the rough start, I genuinely appreciated the team’s effort and their final commitment to ensuring that I could enjoy my stay with peace of mind. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a well-managed property in Poznań, though I hope the communication process will be modernised for future guests.

The apartment was very clean and well…

The apartment was very clean and well furnished. The kitchen is modern and fully furnished.
The jacuzzi, sauna was always clean.
Transporting luggages from the car to the apartment was very easy because the lift takes you right to the car park. The car park is also very secured. I love the fact that they are cameras everywhere in the buildings. The Bus stop is just 1 minute walk across the road. The beach, fitness and football field is just few minutes walk from the apartment. Also good for Family with kids. Lots of playing ground around. I will come back and i highly recommend.

Today I also received a message that they want to charge 700 euros from my card, because I supposedly damaged the kitchen utensils! There are damaged items in this apartment and scammers want to make extra money with it! They also threaten with criminal liability if they do not pay compensation! I will be happy to turn to the police to detain these scammers!

New Town Square 17

This apartment is in a very nice location in a quiet and lovely square near old town. There are several very nice restuarants and grocery store nearby in the square. The apartment was clear and had two private bedrooms with comfortable beds and closet and dressers for clothes and a comfortable sofa bed in the living room. All sleeping spaces have doors so that each sleeping area can be private. The shower is separated from the toilet room which is convenient. The kitchen is clean with a nice size refrigerator and dishwasher. There is also laundry. I would recommend it and stay there again.

Perfect apartment near Zakopane

This apartment is beautiful and it's situated in perfect location. It's very comfortable, located on the pretty steep hill with perfect views of the Tatra mountains and Giewont. There is 15 minutes walk to the closest bus stop to Zakopane. 5 minutes walk to local restaurant with delicious food.

the WORST experience ever

Let me just say that this is an outrageous way to treat clients – ignoring my request to be relocated to another apartment, ignoring my technical support requests for two days – - and then blaming me. A napkin in the door instead of a proper lock, a faulty drain, and a balcony covered in cobwebs – this is the kind of service they provided me. And after all that, they are still demanding additional payment for a flooded bathroom where the drain simply did not work. Naturally, knowing about such an approach and level of service, I would have recorded the bathroom and the room on camera when leaving the apartment – but I could not have imagined that they would make up something like this.

Please, make yourself a favor and NEVER book an apartment here.

Superb view

Stayed in deo plaza 305 apartment, apartment is large and modern with 2 bedrooms kitchen area and large bathroom with bath and a shower beds are really comfy, small balcony facing river with amazing views ,sat here most nights just enjoying that view,only thing it needs is another seat out in the balcony as there's only 1 and a new iron as the one in the apartment is burnt, we will be back in gdansk again and will definitely stay here . The location is also perfect with bars and restaurants outside aswell as various supermarkets, everywhere is within walking distance

We booked this apartment for 6 nights

We booked this apartment for 6 nights, but for half of the stay we had no internet , which was essential for us as we work remotely. Despite reporting the problem right away, no solution was provided. A technician only came on the last day, after two full days of calling and messaging, which was useless by then. Of course the technigian did not solve the problem and any solution was provided

Communication was extremely poor. The main phone number provided was alwsys off, and when we finally managed to reach customer service, because we had to giogle the company, the response was dismissive and not helpful. The agent told us that because it was high season, they couldn’t provide a solution and that we just had to wait. Then she was very rude and even hung up on me.

On top of that, the apartment itself does not make you feel at home. For a 6-day stay, they only provided one tiny soap and one small shampoo, nothing more. No salt or even the most basic kitchen products were available. Overall, it felt uncomfortable, unfriendly, and cheap in the wrong way.

This was a stressful and disappointing experience. If you need reliable internet or even a minimum level of comfort, avoid this apartment.

Shame on Jedności Narodow66/8 apartment.

We booked an apartment Jedności Narodow66/8 apartment for period 23.08-27.08.We came at night , front door code didn’t work, I made the video and sent it to the company’s email. Operator confirmed that it was company’s problem, not ours. Operator apologised and confirmed the refund for the whole period. But today, 29.08 they wrote to me that the code worked properly that night and they refused to issue the refund! Shame on you!

What’s wrong with this company?

What’s wrong with this company? Things were missing from the apartment. I notified them the minute I checked in. It’s been three days and still they have not brought missing items. I don’t understand why they need my keys to deliver the items. Here’s a revelation, make a copy of keys!!! I don’t know how this company operates so poorly.

I was disappointed with my stay because…

I was disappointed with my stay because important information about ongoing facade renovations was only shared after I had completed my booking and payment. When I asked to cancel, my request was refused. The construction caused significant disturbance during my stay, especially starting early in the morning around 7:30 am.

Ruined my trip

Ruined my trip. I complained immediately that their door was having issues. They kept ignoring my messages and calls. Sent a video that didn’t help. Two days later the door broke all together. I was locked out and waited hours to get in ruining my dinner I took home and I lost a whole day of my vacation with all the hours calling and waiting. They also don’t want to help at all. Offered to move me to another apartment for more money! Never offered any refund or any help. I had to beg. Stay far away from these scammers. They knew I had a surgery and I had to move the apartments the next day partially disabled. Nice way to treat a human being.
