The engineer phoned before arriving, was on time and fixed the problem in short order, also stopping to tighten up the door hinges on my kitchen cabinet and giving me dishwasher maintenance tips...

Washing machine drum
Booked repair aid for a washing machine repair after viewing a 'washing machine repairs' article on their website. £110 for visit with parts charged extra. Very polite, helpful phone service to book in, so far so good... When the engineer arrived he walked up to the machine, rattled the drum, said "the drum is broken, that will be expensive, the office will be in touch..." and left muttering about not getting a parking ticket. No tools taken out, no closer inspection. His diagnosis may very well be accurate but then the follow up call explained that Hotpoint only sold integrated drum units not the broken parts and it was £280, which I declined and bought a new machine (delivered and installed) for the same price. Maybe we were just really unfortunate in having a machine that could not have a simple repair, but it would have been good to know in advance that noisy drum = fixed unit and not a viable repair. So yeah, not very happy to shell out £110 for that... My advice to Repair Aid would be to be clearer on website and phone about what is a possible repair or not, and when its not possible, meet the customer in the middle on the cost - most customers will have no problem paying a reduced call out fee.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand your frustration about the cost of the Hotpoint sealed drum assembly - unfortunately this is only supplied by the manufacturer as a complete assembly and not as individual components, apologies but obviously this is out of our control.
With regards to our pricing, I hope you agree that we are very transparent and unlike many other providers we do not charge by the hour but offer fixed rates regardless of whether the job takes one hour or all day. We agree terms and rates beforehand with all our customers and we are of course disappointed to receive such a review on this occasion.

Great appliance repair service
After clumsy builders broke the glass on our oven door, I contacted these guys who were able to quickly source a replacement, making sure I only bought the parts I needed. They came back to install it with minimal fuss, and the cooker now looks like new. Great work.

RepairAid) always seems to fix the issue on the spot. Very decent Polish efficiency. Not much more I can say other than the best repair company I've experienced in London. Great engineers, great service
We have used Repair Aid 3 times now and each time been super impressed by the service. The engineers are really lovely and know what they are doing and the pricing is very transparent. I've recommended them to a number of people.

The office called to say engineer was on the way.
He resolved the problem with the washer/drier speedily by rewiring a faulty connection.
He was efficient and courteous.
I have used this company before on a number of occasions and have always found them very helpful.
Their call out rate seems about average.
