My advice, stay clear away from this disasterous company. The workers have to lie to the men and pretend they are going to meet them when that’s far from the truth. The pay is so low it’s degrading. They are always having issues with the site. There are hardly any messages. My advice to anyone that wants to work for them, don’t!!!!!!!!!! They knit pick every message you send also, they degrade you and you have to kiss up to them.

CANCEL I do not want to be charged anymore. Any months with this cause I never did want this.

Terrible and misleading experience – stay away!

I signed up on Responika and made a small purchase of credits for £2.50. However, within just two hours, they managed to charge my card nearly £30 — without my consent. I only authorized a single £2.50 payment, yet somehow a subscription was activated without clear notice.

When I reached out to support, they claimed I hadn't canceled the trial. But how could I, when the subscription kicked in just a couple of hours after signing up? There was no clear information or reminder, and the whole system seems designed to trick users into unwanted payments.

On top of that, the credits I bought were supposed to be for chatting with an astrologer — they were gone in just 3 minutes, during which the astrologer only asked vague questions and gave absolutely no insights or responses.

The website is purposefully unclear, with hidden charges, fine print, and an unsubscribe process that’s confusing and difficult to complete. It's built to mislead users into paying more than they intend to.

This is an absolutely horrible website! I worked here for about 2 years, and they found an excuse to stop paying me, and fire me subtly. I had to deal with years worth of condescending, degrading and narcissistic messages from the people messaging from the “Lucy” persona. No matter how much energy I put into the messages, no matter how much I followed the rules, there was always something new to have to worry about. I would say it’s a blessing in disguise that they let me go, but it’s not. They refused to even pay me my last paycheck, and now I have no source of income. I want this company shut down, and I am so pissed. If you work here and haven’t had this issue yet, it is only a matter of time. They pay their employees chump change while getting rich off of employees labor. It’s a scam, they just subtly dance around it being a scam website by putting in their terms and conditions that it’s “fantasy only” still doesn’t mean that excuses the fact that there are multiple women chatting from one profile. It's alright for a bit of extra cash, the admins could probably be paid much more given how the site operates. You kind of know what you are getting yourself into.
Its legit apparently as the men who use the site just don't read the fine print.You do feel for the older and more vulnerable at times. I have reported it in the past that I do wonder if that duty of care is taken seriously and to what end. Msot of them just want to cheat on their wives and partners.
I've done this for a very long time. The problem is less the messaging and more the misplaced superiority of "Lucy"who thinks somehow "she" is above everyone else. Let "her" have "her" little grift I suppose and let it bounce off you. It does make you wonder if "her" attitude is why she doesn't have a real job elsewhere. Good luck to "her" if "she" does as I imagine "she's" a completely different person then. Let's face it, "she's" overseeing sexting as a full time career. If pointing out spelling errors and picking holes in conversation makes "her" feel important let "her" have it. Apparently there's no room for human error in real conversation, nor emojis if I recall either. The biggest issue that doesn't help anyone is that a lot of the admins are really petty as well. I have tried to work around or let minor things slide when there's a little mistake, but some are proper grasses. Grow up ladies. We are all here for the same thing.
There's probably more lucrative side hustles out here so to speak, but it'll do for a bit of spends till you find something better.
Don't be disheartened but "Lucy" if you do work there. Roll your eyes, make a brew and just let it wash off.

Wow just wow! If I could give this a minus review I would. Yes it is a scam site and I do not feel sorry for the people that I have been messaging but my god we all make mistakes but the way that woman LUCY speaks to you like you are a child is just awful. She is so patronising and makes you feel so tiny it is unbelievable. It is so obvious that you may have made a spelling mistake and the other admins just love to report you it is pathetic we are all grown ups at the end of the day.
LUCY or whatever her name is needs to learn to talk to people properly instead of like a child she is an awful woman.
You slog your guts out and spend hours on this site with very few messages coming through and sometimes it is hard stretched to earn even £40 per week unless you sit up until 1.00am every day and I can not do that when I work full time.

To cut it short, theres not enough messages coming through on this respondtek dashboard to make a full or part time job out of it.

I kept an eye on the volume most days and i believe theres more admins than message volume half the time.

I would notice a slight influx at late nighttime uk time however it would then tail off through the day.

Even when I went full throttle i only hit 44 pounds in a week.

Unfortunately I got banned as my vpn turned on twice, once by mistake and once at the beginning on purpose because I travel and use a vpn for security.

The attitude from Lucy made me feel like I had mass M'drd someone when it was honest mistakes rather than done purposely.

To be honest I was thinking of leaving anyway as whilst 40 pounds a week is nice its not worth the hours put into it.

Yes every negative review on here is exactly what I want to say. Smh this site needs to be taken down. And every person that has a positive review, you’ve must haven’t been suspended or talked down on like you’re slow. Okay I’ll wait for your edits. Anyway. This company only pays 10p per message. Takes hours to send 50 messages…that’s £5. Waste of time. I am convinced that this Lucy character is an Incel website creator sitting in their bedroom and working from a laptop scanning over all the messages sent and then flagging them up then sending threatening and rude emails warning you if you’ve made a simple mistake such as giving the client the wrong detail In one of your messages. I was told that someone had reported me then when I asked for more info they admitted that it was themselves who had in fact seen my message and not anybody else. The dishonesty is unprofessional. They are condescending. This is despite you sending hundreds of good messages. It’s the way the person speaks to you that is disrespectful for any adult. This is why I suspect the character Lucy is an alias..immature person with no decorum or personnel experience. They state that it is their company, confirming it’s a one man band preying on old lonely men. Some men have said that they paid 30,000 in several years to speak to a woman who promise to meet yet never do. It’s immoral and preying on lonely poor pensioners. Actually sickening when you think about it. I will report to trading standards. My account was deleted after I stuck up for myself and berated this Lucy character calling them out for their rudeness and unprofessionalism. Then their real colours came and they deleted my account. STAY AWAY FROM THIS POORLY PAYING COMPANY FOR YOUR OWN DIGNITY!

An awfully horrible woman calling herself ‘Lucy’ encourages other admins to report on you to her for mistakes, ( like some evil woman laughing at us all) and then suspends you and humiliates you. ( no one behaves like this in this work normally) She must employ too many people as there’s never enough messages to do. Very low pay. Stay clear of this one !

I love working here and I have always found the owner to be really nice. It’s a great little job and I’ve always been paid on time.

A woman named Lucy manages this site and she encourages people to report other people on silly mistakes, you then get a really humiliating email from Lucy which is not only demeaning but quite personal. She saps your confidence and encourages you to report others. It is over staffed so you have very few messages to answer which makes the pay awful

I work for this company and so far have had no real issues. most of the notes we get are for general mistakes and have not been aimed at me personally.

To address some of the issues mentioned here, yes men are being scammed but it does say in the small print that the site is fantasy only, it's just the guys don't read it and that's how it is actually legal.

Some of the men there are married and cheating on their wives so I don't feel sorry for them. It's true some have been there for years and are lonely but I actually think they are there for the interaction rather than sex.

Lastly, no one is forcing them to stay there and in the majority of cases they get fed up and leave, so although I occasionally get a pang of conscience I'm mostly okay with it.

Having worked in adult chat for over twenty years (for extra pocket money), I worked for Admin Hub for 8 years before Respondtek took over. They immediately dropped the pay to 10p per msg (which used to be 15!) and hired some utter madam named ‘Lucy’, who loves to send horrible messages for ridiculous reasons. She berates you like you’re a child. I’ve got a PHD and I’m a published writer; I’m not some sort of idiot. I’m also 53 years old and expect to be shown the same respect that I show others. I have no problem with errors being fed back for training purposes, but there’s no need for the tone or the attitude. It’s particularly hilarious when Lucy’s own spelling, grammar and punctuation leave a lot to be desired lmao. After the third message, which was pretty unjustified, and her absolute rudeness despite my politeness, I jumped ship and went to a better company…. One which pays properly and actually has messages to answer! At the end of my time with Respondtek, I was sitting around for 4 hours waiting for enough messages to come through to make £10. Once upon a time with Admin Hub, I could have made that in an hour. They won’t last long. I’d bet my money that they’re going under and that’s why ‘lucy’ is so stressed all the time. Well, you reap what you sow!

Despite the negative reviews, I remain determined to join RespondTek as it is important to remember that most of these reviews are not about the job itself, but rather targeted towards Lucy. I believe these criticisms are unfair and at times nasty, Lucy is simply doing her job by providing constructive feedback. Feedback is given when something is done well and when there is room for improvement. Additionally, the tone of conversations can be influenced by your mood and how you interpret messages. It's not fair to take out your frustrations on someone else if you're unable to handle criticism or if you're in a bad mood. I will continue with my application form and see what happens. This opportunity sounds perfect for me.
Update 30/09/23 - I am really enjoying the role and take on the feedback that I receive from Lucy positively which I use to do the job better and correctly. 25/04/2024 = Love it and all the negative reviews are from people who don't like feedback!

ZERO stars! They expect you to read through sometimes years of conversation and reply with a minimum of 150 characters to these men who think they've been speaking to one girl the entire time. You must have perfect spelling, grammar, and speak as though you're from whatever country they say you're from. I'm sorry but I'm not from the UK and don't always know how to say things. One tiny mistake and they randomly suspend your account. All this for 13¢ a message! I haven't even been allowed to cash out my earnings and now I'm suspended for who knows how long because of one mistake out of dozens of conversations that were perfect. A person named "Lucy" is constantly sending rude remarks to the admins about how we're doing things wrong. Sorry but maybe the problem is the way the site has been set up. You can't expect someone to know a 4 year long conversation and respond within the 10 minute limit and make no mistakes ever. I do not recommend using these people. There are plenty of others who expect less and pay the same.

The money quickly builds up and you’re pretty much left along to do as little or as much as you like. Lucy is also clearly also a ‘persona’ and the role shared across many people. My interactions have been fine. Morally it’s pretty grim, I’m doing it to pay off debt and as soon as that’s done I’ll quit. I have had one man say he’d spent £26k over three years and another that had been messaging for 13 years. I dont know how someone was sending 500 messages a day. I think they’re over employed at the moment as I seem to spend a lot of time waiting for new messages whereas in previous months I haven’t. I’ve never exceeded £50 in a week but I work full time too.

I was fired for trying to follow the rules. I kept being reported on messages and every time I was reported I was greeted with a very rude message from a woman named Lucy.

Me: My apologies I did not see the rest of her profile as I only could see where she was from and since she had no information I assumed with the first conversation we were to create an identity for her if she did not have one.
Lucy:
If you are using a phone, then the profile comes up before the message and you have to scroll to say you have read it. It also shows the name, age and location at the top of the message screen, so you would not have to click on the profile to see the age.
If you are using a laptop/desktop, then all the information is on one screen, you don’t have to click on the profile.
There is no possible explanation for not seeing the age of the woman, even if the profile did not load. It’s shown very clearly at the top of the message thread.

SHE WOULDN'T LET ME EXPLAIN THAT YOU CANNOT SEE THE WHOLE PROFILE IN ONE SCREEN ON A CELL PHONE.

Me:I was on an older tablet so my finger swipes may have been too brief. My apologies as I know any demographic information entered will be entered by you only. Thank you again.

Lucy:It’s just your excuse for adding another age doesn’t make sense and I’m having a hard time with it.

You should know that all profiles have an age on them and you shouldn’t be making one up. And you should know where to find the ages. (AGGRESSIVE CORRECTION AND RUDENESS)

You didn't add to the profile that she lives with a friend or that she works from home. How will other admins know this information?

Me: My apologies. I was trying to find a suitable answer for her age & profile info that he would believe and I did not think to add the details to her profile. I will be sure to add pertinent information into the profile before adding it to the conversation.

I would give it 0 stars if I could. It is Freud. Do not waste your time with this. And if you see the name Lucy in your emails don't be decieved by her initial niceness. You get paid 0.10p a message and your being a fake persona and scamming men. That will be your job that i was srupud enough to be apart of. These men are good people who just are looking for someone to love or meet up with and be friends with and we are messing with their emotions forcing them to stay on this site so they can get money out of them. Poor men. Lucy the rep or manager or whoever she is is degrading, rude, and will ban you for the smallest mistake. She will demand an explanation from you and then when you speak up about being maltreated ahe doesn't respond to your emails. Unprofessional and rude. They don't care that the men are being catfished or that they can pay us slave wages or that people are sexting and talking about porn but yet can ban you because you make a typing error or saying the wrong thing.
