Excellent customer service and great product quality

I've been using the Cinqro mask for quite a while for indoor and outdoor sports and it works perfectly. Now I've bought the Techno Plus mask as safe and reusable protection against smog, pollen, influenza and Corona virus. However, the first experience was not so good. Unlike the fleecy standard filter of the Cinqro mask, the more rigid filter of the Techno Plus mask didn't seal well, even with the Pro Seal.
But the RESPRO customer service did a really good job in resolving the problem. They first made some suggestions how to prepare the mask for use and after these didn't work, they replaced the mask with an identical model, this time with a metal nose clip, without charging any costs.
My Techno Plus mask in combination with the Pro Seal and the standard filter now seals perfectly and gives me full protection.

Respro Masks

I have been using a Respro mask, whilst jogging, for about 30 years. It warms the fresh morning air, reduces vehicle particulates entering my lungs and now acts as a breath restrictor, which has helped to increase my lung capacity. I would highly recommend using a Respro mask whilst exercising!.

I've used Respro masks for a decade, can't rate highly enough!

I've used Respro masks for a decade, they make a huge difference to how I can exercise. I used the Techno for many years on my cycle commute, as pollution was unpleasant. I could be right behind a bus and notice no fumes through the mask at all. When I lost this I replaced it with the Cinqro, this has a noticable difference in airflow for heavy exercise, I use it running too because of this. They are also useful on extremely windy days as then i can still run and cycle without getting any asthma symptoms at all.
I also recently purchased the Bandit scarf, this was because of all the chimney smoke in my area making my asthma bad on walks, it completely cuts out the smoke which is perfect.
Can't rate these masks highly enough, they have made a huge difference to my exercise capabilities through the cold windy winters, commuting through traffic without being ill.

Pollen allergy

I have birch pollen allergy and I also react to other pollens even though I'm not allergic to them. Respro techno mask have helped me through 3 seasons now and I love the mask!

I really recommend Respro masks 👍😁

Comfortable, Easy to use, Durable

I´ve had my Cinqro since June 2018. And i´ve been using it every pollen season as im very allergic to grasspollen. Now in these days i use it everyday where its demanded due to the Covid. I wash my four filters and mask by hand once a week and its still in good condition. Very small sizes though compared to expectations when buying a XL..

Respro Gave Me My Life Back! (MCS)

After using the same set-up for years, it was time to update: new version headstrap; color option (black) latex-free Ultralight mask featuring newer Powa Elite valves for enhanced exhaled ventilation (mask carry pouch included), black version of the Pro-Seal, all new Valve Blok set to keep vents closed & protect others (can any musicians confirm if these can be used off-label as a guitar pick? 🙃 j/k), and long-overdue replacement Chemical Particle (Allergy-mask) filters.

The included filter (particle only) doesn’t filter VOCs, so I always add C/P filters to my order. An accidental inhalation exposure to chemical fumes left me with acute airway hypersensitivity & hyperresponsiveness to chemical fumes & vapors a.k.a. your synthetic fragrance / chemically-scented personal care products, etc. That’s why I’ve worn this set-up (minus the Valve-Bloks) long before current events, and will continue to do so long after the danger subsides.

Respro gave me my life back! I couldn’t go anywhere in public without someone asking if I needed an ambulance after the slightest exposure. ☹️😷♿️

IMO, Respro is worth every USD penny converted from the better-performing £ Pound sterling. I’m NOT paid to say this. I’m not a brand Ambassador. All I know is that my quality of life significantly improved following a long, exhaustive, investigative search and careful consideration before deciding this was my best option. 😊

Brilliant masks and exceptionally fine customer service

I've used 2 x Respro Ultralite masks (with plastic nose clips) for well over a year now and have been exceptionally impressed with the products - outer shell, filter, valves, sanitiser, etc. The masks fit well, are robustly made and I find the Velcro fastening easy to use. I also find that there is no breathing resistance when using them.

I ordered one Proseal product (to try before I committed to a second) to ensure an even better seal around my nose and mouth (Covid worries) and found this easy to fit into my mask. However, on using the mask, I found a significant air leak at the sides of my nose. My email to customer service asking for help/advice was answered very promptly by Harrison and just two emails later he suggested that metal nose clips should resolve the problem as the photos I sent showed that I was wearing the mask correctly.

These arrived within a couple of days and the result is brilliant - a complete seal around my nose and mouth, thus, boosting confidence when wearing it for necessary trips to the supermarket.

This is an example of exceptionally brilliant customer service. They understood the issue, suggested solutions and were pro-active in resolving the problem I encountered.

I have subsequently ordered a second Proseal as well as a mask for my wife.

Well done Respro and thank you very much.

The best masks on the market

I am a runner and live in Poland, where smog is an enormous problem. From early autumn till late spring I often have to run in a mask. And I really love and truly believe in Respro’s products and always recommend them to people, who ask me what mask I wear and... why :) And I do that with a full conviction, that it is the best product on the market. What is more – client service is really outstanding!

I've known the Respro brand for over 20…

I've known the Respro brand for over 20 years and I trust the quality of the product implicitly. During Covid, Respro masks have made the difference between pretty much not going out at all and doing a bit of responsible travelling.

Please bear in mind that Respro have been selling a *vast* quantity of masks over the Covid period and that there are many thousands of happy customers who don't leave reviews.

Their warranty programme is a complete scam.....avoid!

I liked the warranty programme respro offered so I submitted my biometric data as per the instructions on their website. They told me to order a size large which I did. It arrived and it didn't seem to fit properly so I got back in contact with them. Harrison from customer services asked me to submit photos which I did. Harrison then replied saying "Your images clearly highlight the mask size is too small in the eye to chin length. This issue suggests the eye to chin measurement is not correct by a significant value. Unfortunately we are unable to exchange the mask for the next size up as the data provided was inaccurate." What a complete lie! Harrison could have asked for a photo of me measuring the eye to chin length but no he didn't because that would have proved he was wrong. I saved him the trouble and submitted a photo of my face with a tape measure showing that my eye to chin length was exactly what I submitted. Now, if you read the warranty programme blurb on their website they promise to provide you with the correct size mask if the one they recommend does not fit. This is what I did but the result has basically been Harrison effectively telling me the reason it doesn't fit is because I submitted false data which I proved I didn't. I've submitted several emails trying to get a response from them about this but I've had ZERO response! Their warranty programme is a complete scam and their customer service is the worst out there. Do yourself a favour and DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I have tried to leave a review on the respro website but you have to log in and mark the review against the product ordered as they want to ensure reviews are only received from real customers. Well, guess what, I couldn't leave a review as my order is not detailed as having been delivered yet so I cannot write a review! Is that by design I wonder to prevent customers raising poor reviews on their website! It's also very interesting how virtually every review is 5 stars on their website.....compare that to the reviews on here. A huge difference. One site has obviously vetted their reviews before allowing them to be posted and one is unbiased and independent. I'll leave you to work out which is which!

UPDATE FOLLOWING THEIR RESPONSE:
I have the following to add:
(i) you get a defensive (and factually inaccurate) response when you publish a review - you don't get anything when you contact their support desk. Shows you what they value - reviews not customer satisfaction
(ii) They state the measurements I submitted are incorrect which they are not. I have evidence / proof. They don't - they just make a made up sweeping statement to prevent them from honouring their warranty.
(iii) They have not commented on the evidence I submitted to them in the form of a photo with a tape measure proving my measurements were accurate - PLEASE RESPOND ON THIS POINT RESPRO. Your lies cannot get you out of this one. If I could, I would submit the photo on here to prove to everyone just how ridiculous their statement is.
(iv) They state they have "responded on several occasions" - their interpretation of the word "several" needs to be more accurately understood. They responded TWICE not SEVERAL!: first to ask for photos and second to tell me in no uncertain terms it was the wrong size and it was my fault and they would not replace the mask!
(v) The data I submitted was accurate and I read their instructions on measuring correctly and sent them a photo proving they are liars and I've had no response.

So, respro, just to be clear your warranty programme IS A COMPLETE SCAM and I have the evidence and proof to back it up!

STEER CLEAR EVERYONE, WHEN THE MASK DOESN'T FIT IT WILL ALL BE YOUR FAULT BECAUSE YOU ALLEGEDLY DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE A TAPE MEASURE! SEE THE OTHER SIMILAR REVIEWS BELOW. Disgusting responses - they treat all their customers like they're half wits!

Hopefully 2021 will see the end of businesses like this once word spreads.

Sizing is always going to be a contentious issue as head biometrics are not part of our daily lives. On our website we clearly request on every product page that prospective clients follow the sizing
requirements to help assist in submitting their biometric data. We ask for this data so that we can accurately guide the client to the correct size mask to purchase and remain within the warranty exchange program we offer. This process relies on the client submitting 'accurate data'. If the data is significantly inaccurate, then unfortunately we are unable to exchange any product owing to the data
not reflecting the clients actual head biometrics. This is a case in point where the client has submitted a measurement that is significantly outside of their actual size, resulting in the client
being unable to wear the product effectively. The onus is on the client to fulfil the responsibility of accurately submitting the data as per the online help video. In this clients case, we have responded on several occasions, the client has engaged by submitting images. On review of the images we have concluded that the Large size recommended was too small due to the submission of inaccurate data and not our recommendation. The client is claiming we are running a scam which is not the case, we have been providing masks for nearly 30 years and we stand fully behind the data and due process we provide.

Respro - Customer Services Is Not Their Forté

As the technical guy on my traveling softball team I was assigned by our team sponsor to find a protective mask to use as a team standard. Also as the league director he was also looking for masks to recommend to the league. I have tried several masks and Respro was on my list to try out. On October 12th I ordered the following items from Respro: Cinqro Mask, Bandit Scarf and Pro-seal. Respro's claim that their masks work well during physical exertion and their facial seal was the main reason I wanted to try them out. I also purchased the F.B.1 Mask to see how well it holds up when the air is contaminated with smoke.
It took weeks to get my items and Respro did not provide me with a tracking number. When my items arrived I tried on the Cinqro mask. It was comfortable on my face but the velcro strap was too short. To make it connect was painful. According to Respro's sizing chart I am fitted for a Large. Since the Cinqro did not fit I did not even open the other items. I figured they would all fit the same. I reached out to Respro's Customer Services to exchange my order for X-Large. Harrison responded by asking for pictures showing how it fit. As an African-American (during these crazy times) I was a little uncomfortable with this. No internet business has ever asked me to do this. Usually I just exchange the items for the right size and it's done. I reluctantly sent the pictures he requested and he agreed that the X-Large would be a better fit. This is where it got weirder.
HARRISON SUGGESTED THAT I SELL THE MASKS I PURCHASED TO SOMEONE ELSE AND HE WILL SELL ME THE ITEMS AGAIN FOR 50% OFF! After recovering from this audacious suggestion I said I would prefer to exchange the items and would (for argument sake) be willing to pay 50% for the Cinqro mask since I did try it on. This is when Harrison fell off the grid. He was not responding to my emails. Since Respro was not offering me an exchange I requested to send them back for a refund. Still no response. I reached out to PayPal to get a refund and PayPal sided with Respro because the item was not sent "DAMAGED". PayPal dropped the ball on that one and I am addressing that now.

I wish I had looked at Trustpilot before I made this order. I am seeing complaints familiar with mine. I even see Harrison's name come up on previous complaints. What really bothers me is that Respro has offered to refund some of the people who complained or fix the problem if they provide their biometric data. I was not even given that courtesy. I have the emails to back up what I am saying and anyone who wants to look at them need only to ask. In conclusion; no matter how good you may think your product is, customer service is what separates you from the rest of the pack. Right now the less expensive masks and filters on Amazon are more appealing simply because I know I will be treated as a valued customer.
CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVERYTHING!

1. When your order left our logistics centre in London, United Kingdom, a dispatch confirmation was sent to the designated email address you provided. You claim not to have received this, - we have records to show it was sent.

2. You claim your order took 'a long time' to arrive.  -Due to the COVID pandemic, it is not unusual for the American postal system to take weeks to deliver a package once it arrives on US soil. Respro® are only responsible for the package whilst it is on UK shores.

2. You state you chose your mask size based on a guide chart on our website instead of sending in your biometric data to our sizing team for advice prior to purchase.  - It is clearly stated on all our sizing pages on our website that you are advised to send in your measurements in order to ensure a correct mask fit. Masks are not like other items of clothing and do not follow the same sizing rules. If
you do not seek the advice of our sizing team prior to purchase, then you fall outside our warranty programme. This is clearly set out on our web pages and in our T&C's.

3. You claim you were not offered a refund yet we provided a solution to your problem in an email which you claim you did not receive.- We have records from the CS team showing several emails sent to you. (Did they go to your spam folder or another email address? All we know is, they were sent from our CS teams emails accounts to the one you provided)

4.  We understand that you have already tried several other mask brands. You are very welcome to try more from Amazon but we know customer care and service via that platform is minimal and they are unlikely to concern themselves with questions around mask fit.  Our masks are produced and hand finished in our factory in the UK. We have been manufacturing masks for over 30 years and are experienced in customer care and sizing.

5. The fact that Paypal disallowed your claim and that we have engaged to our fullest, indicates the issue is with your expectation rather than with our products and or service. - Turning to TrustPilot to
rubbish our service and products in order to seek to dissuade others from purchasing from us, shows bad intention on your part. All our staff have worked extremely hard during the pandemic to make sure that all our customers needs have been met.

Finally, some of your remarks insinuate that we are providing a less than professional service and that you feel discriminated against.  Ethnicity has nothing to do with facial biometrics. We all have the same physical features on our faces.

Reginald, Respro® is a real company with real people who are providing a service to customers globally on a day to day basis.  We are not a multinational or a large company based on profit. We are and always have been based on good will. Our masks are re-usable for a reason.

 To reiterate:

* You did not check your size with the sizing team prior to purchase which meant you fell outside our warranty programme.
* Once the mask was opened and faced fitted we could not resell it to the general public even if it was returned we would have to destroy it.  A return also brings with it extra cost to the customer and the environment. If it can be avoided then all the better.
* Some customers, who fall outside the warranty programme, are offered 50% of a new mask if they resell their wrongly sized mask on to a friend or family member. We do this because we want our customers to have the correct size mask and for all the environmental reasons mentioned here. 
* We are a company who care about our products and our services. We do not want to add to the throw-away culture if other solutions can be found. We want our customers to feel confident with their mask. We are concerned about waste, pollution and the environment. Our masks are reusable, long lasting and as well as being value for money and value to health and well being.

This company appears to be as indifferent to science as it is to people.

January 17, 2021 update:

In his December 1, 2020 response to my November 25, 2020 review, Harrison reiterates the three points that he made to me when we corresponded by email. The most absurd of these points is the idea that “any air expelled through a valve will have zero momentum as water droplets, being heavier than air, falls [sic] to the ground.” If this notion, which is prima facie contrary to the laws of physics, were indeed the case, there would be no need for the Valve Bloks that Respro sells. In fact, there would be no need for the passage of laws mandating the exclusive use of valved masks in clinical settings. The other points Harrison makes are not prima facie bogus, but they are so as a factual matter, at least in my experience. All Respro masks are natively valved. Since “the Respro Valve Blok prevents the valves from working,” the application of Valve Bloks renders Respro masks the functional equivalent of valveless masks. Such valve-blocked Respro masks would then be equally subject to the objectionable features that Harrison attributes to natively valveless masks. My own experience using valveless respiratory masks, at least the ones made by a company named Filti, is that they do not get hot and do not “out lift” the mask off my face.

Initial review, posted November 25, 2020:

Recently I have been corresponding by email with a Respro customer service representative I know only by his first name, Harrison. All Respro masks use an unfiltered exhalation valve. There is an overwhelming consensus amongst scientists and medical doctors that, while wearing such masks may protect the wearer from catching Covid-19, they offer little or no protection to people in the vicinity of the mask wearer. Any ethical wearer of a mask with an exhalation valve is obliged to filter his or her exhaled air, for example by covering the exhalation valve(s) with a surgical mask. Harrison has refused to acknowledge that, absent the taking of such a precaution, Respro masks pose a risk to others, especially in settings where social distancing is not feasible. He has also refused to forward my correspondence with him to other Respro employees, who, one can only hope, would perhaps be more concerned about the relevant science than he appears to be. That said, I have no reason to be hopeful: there is not a single reference in any online statement made by Respro that even mentions this safety issue.

Our CS team will have already informed you that Respro® offers Valve Bloks™ for all our valved masks. The Respro® Valve Blok™ prevents the valves from working. They are provided at a nominal value on the Respro website for those customers who want to use their existing Respro® mask in environments where valved masks are not accepted during the current Covid pandemic. Respro® designed and manufactured the valve blocks in double quick time in response to customers' concerns about enforced laws in certain states in the USA. In doing so we made sure that our customers could wear their Respro®, re-usable, filtered mask at all times. What we did not wish to do, nor still wish to do, is to propagate the notion that valveless masks should be prioritised over valved masks. At all times context is everything. With regards to helping curtail the spread of a virus, wearing a mask, keeping one's distance and washing hands are all important considerations.

A couple of points:

1. Valveless masks have a tendency to get hotter owing to the heat and water vapour being trapped in the filter media. This in turn causes comfort issues (increased inhalation; think wet flannel effect) meaning the mask will not be used as much as it should be. (dropping the mask to the chin, under the nose etc)

2. In masks where no valve exists, the back pressure on breathing 'out lifts' the mask off of the face allowing air to leak out from the sides carrying viral matter with it.

3. Any air expelled through a valve will have zero momentum as water droplets, being heavier than air, falls to the ground.

A Rip Off and Not Fit for Purpose

Don’t buy a Respro mask. I supplied the biometric fit information in order to meet their Warranty. Like other reviewers on Trust Pilot, the mask pulls down on the bridge of my nose and slides down my face. My mask came supplied with the internal seal to improve the face fit. It simply does not work as there is approximately 10 mm gap where my chin meets the seal, meaning there is just not an airtight seal so the mask is useless. I can fit my little finger between my chin and the seal. This mask is a complete waste of money and I am extremely disappointed. I’m annoyed with myself for not reading Trust Pilot reviews first as I think they show exactly the same problem that I am having. I’m a Chartered Engineer, so do know how to measure things and can also assess whether something is fit for purpose or otherwise. This mask is not fit for purpose and I would strongly advise people to not purchase one. I have emailed Respro requesting a full refund. “Harrison” at Respro seems to have been trained in customer service by Attila the Hun. He has refused to address my complaint and refused to discuss a refund. I provided photographs as he requested and he appears to be saying the mask is the right size despite the fact that there is a gaping hole between the mask and my chin%. Looks like I’ve been ripped off. This is the worst company I have dealt with for a very long time. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Quite simply they are rip off merchants.
UPDATE - Respro's reply to my post is inaccurate and misleading. I provided measurements as described on their website and in accordance with their warranty program. I am a Chartered Engineer, so taking measurements is very simple for me. The mask does not fit, even though the measurements provided were accurate. Respro have not provided any support whatsoever either pre or post purchase. What they have done, is refused to provide a refund for a product which does not work as their is a 10mm gap between my chin and the mask. The mask is not fit for purpose and Respro seem entirely focused on finding reasons not to provide a refund. I have not experienced such poor customer service from any company for a very long time. I stand by my claims that the mask they provided to me is a rip off as it is not fit for purpose and Respro have made no effort to find a resolution. Customers will eventually decide for themselves and if you read other reviews about them, you'll realise I'm not alone in my views. SCROLL DOWN TO SEE ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ..........

1. Before purchasing a Respro mask, we advice customers to provide their biometric data to the Respro CS sizing team so they can assist with purchasing the correct size mask. Providing accurate measurements is dependent upon the customer following a measuring procedure for masks which is clearly set out on our website. The size of mask recommended by the Respro Team is based on the data provided to them by the customer. If this data is subsequently found to be based on 'inaccurate' measurements, then the customer falls outside the warranty programme offered. Respro® cannot be held responsible for the customer submitting inaccurate measurements.

2. All our masks are produced in hygienic, 'covid 19' free conditions. Once a mask is 'face fitted' (similar to under garments) it cannot be resold. This is stated in our Terms & Conditions listed on our website.

3. Using words such as 'Ripped off' and 'rip-off merchants' is misleading and defamatory to the reputation of Respro UK. We do not ignore customers nor have we ignored you. We have engaged with you through our CS and sizing teams. We offered you support pre and post purchase. Not many companies offer this kind of service for free. We have experienced staff who are trained in assessing mask size for face shape based on the measurement provided by customers.

4. Trustpilot terms of use state that :"At Trustpilot we're required to take down words and statements that are likely to cause serious harm to someone’s reputation or serious financial loss to a business." Respro® will proceed to flag up this reviews as defamatory"

Respro Ultralite

Just bought a Respro Ultralite mask & have been working in it for a week now without any problems. It fits perfectly, is very comfortable but most importantly gives me the confidence to work closely with my clients in the enclosed space of my massage room. I’m a professional masseur who spends all day working hard in a hot room & this mask is the business! Many thanks Respro. Looking forward to trying other masks in your offering too.

Sorry, it's the problem with your face, not with our masks

Reading how many other horrific experiences there are with the Respro is sobering. I wish I did this before purchasing five very expensive masks for my entire family.

Two main issues, one is fit, the other is customer service. My girls and myself are all size S or US size 2-4, and I wanted to be safe and ordered M for us, but none fit us. and we all had to use up the L that were ordered for my son and my husband. Now, that left the boys with no masks because the L wouldn't fit them. I asked to trade in the unfit masks, but was told no. They asked for multiple videos to demonstrate how each mask fit us front/side/back before they would offer 50% discount for our next round of purchases. When I questioned that I'd never ordered anything in size L for my girls and me, they told me something basically says it's the problem with your faces not with our masks.

I run a customer service company, and to me what defines a good company and a bad one is their attitude towards customer. One says, " Yes, the customer's right, and we can always walk the extra mile to do better." These companies will thrive. The other says, "Yes, we are always right, and customers, you are always wrong, and if you want any hint of service, you have to climb over the mountain." These companies perish over time regardless of how innovative their products maybe. Respro sadly belongs to the second.

Do not buy a Respro mask.

1.Clothing and garment sizing do not correlate to mask sizing. Head shapes do not always match body types e.g Large people can have small heads and visa-versa. It is for this reason that we stipulate on all the sizing guide pages on our website the benefits of sending in your head measurements directly to our team. A). You will be advised by a personal sizing expert who will ensure you get the correct sized mask and B) if we send you an in correct size you will stay within the Respro® Warranty programme and a new mask will be shipped out to you.
Where you went wrong:
You did not supply your sizing to our team so therefore fell outside of our warranty programme. As personal items, masks cannot be returned once worn due to regulations on hygiene.
3. As a gesture of good will, Respro® offered you 50% reduction of any further mask purchased by you or any of your family, plus free shipping. You declined this offer.
4.As a company trading for over 25 years we follow clear guidelines in terms of customer service and aftercare support. Team Respro®

Huge fan from the very beginning!

I have been one of Respro's biggest fans since the first time got to ride my pony (who I was seriously allergic to) without bruises on the bridge of my nose from the painting respirator, thanks to my lightweight red Respro. Some time in the early 90s. And just wore that very mask today in 2020 to dremel my dogs' nails. I've used it vacuuming, tromping around rural Guam jungles and the Olympic National Forest for work, navigating cottonwood season in Seattle, and fascinating the swamp monkeys at the zoo (that trick, alas, would never work these days!). I have a black Techno now too but it's my "going out" mask on those rare occasions I can't avoid public indoor places as a COVID-vulnerable person.
Over 20 years I have had nothing but perfect experiences with Respro. They ship quickly and are friendly and helpful. Their newest developments I have tried (the ProSeal & additional strap) are both well worth getting. And the most amazing thing is that they keep supporting my original mask! No shifting design to make me buy the newest models--I can put the newer fancier filters and valves right into my original shell.
