Don’t use!!

My mum took a policy 10 years ago to cover
Funeral cost
Took 8 weeks for them to pay out!! Probate was through quicker.
After multiple phone calls and emails before they paid out
Do not use.

I object to recieving calls after 8pm…

I object to recieving calls after 8pm tonight i recieved calls at 20:30, 22:07 & to cap it all woke the whole house up at 23:50!!!! This is totally unacceptable and i will be reporting this to head office as soon as i find a contact number.

REST ASSURED, A SHABBY COMPANY

Oh dear! I came onto Trust Pilot to write about the disgraceful treatment my Mother's receiving from Rest Assured, and was astonished to read all the other bad reviews. Some poor people have lost so much more than my Mum; and it's not just the money - it's Rest Assured's callous behaviour towards elderly people, most of whom are living on a State Pension. It's a Company made up of immoral, unethical, shabby, little people.

What a crap company

What a crap company. Asked a few years back if I could cancel policy as I was not happy with certain things, namely the way thecompany does things. Was told no or will be charged at least half the cost of the policy. Now get a letter stating their in liquidation. Great lost my money.

If could score zero I would

If could score zero I would. My dad passed away Oct 3rd 2022 we contacted rest assured 6 times over 3 days each time told we would get a call back. Day 4 we contacted FCA to be told they had gone into liquidation. Absolutely appalling customer service, they should be totally ashamed, they could have informed us and advised us of what to do next. Fortunately my mum has family who did the investigating at a time that is difficult and heartbreaking enough without then worrying whether the £4000 has been lost. Appalling and if this is how they treat their clients now, I have no faith they would have been any better before. Disgusting, even now the plan they talked my parents into taking out, paying £4000 for doesn't cover half of the funeral not even a car for funeral party my parents were never told they could only use specific funeral directors, the printed plan they received is very vague even the funeral directors are needing to find out more information from the company now in charge which is Dignity, who have been very good. and we are having good communication with them.
My advice if you are with rest assured then make your enquiries now with Dignity, don't wait until the plan is needed.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY—EVER

Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I had the misfortune to use their services when they traded as One Life Estate Planning. They take your money then you will never hear from them again. And it’s not cheap, far from it.They do not reply to emails or letters and never answer the phone. As somebody at the Financial Conduct Authority pointed out when I phoned them they have withdrawn its application to be FCA registered , basically if they are not registered you have no one to turn to when it goes wrong. And it will. They know this, that’s why they withdrew the application. They will take your money but you will not receive the services you have paid for.
AVOID AVOID AVOID.
DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY.
If I could give a zero star rating I would.

Rest Assured - Make sure you actually die!

My mum took out a plan over 12 months ago (yes she read the small print of no returns after 12 months unless company discretion permitted). Her financial circumstances changed very recently and she had no choice but to cancel her plan, £1600 down with no way of getting a single penny back, these con artists will take your money, just make sure you actually die otherwise you are paying for absolutely nothing!
Disgrace of a company! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! My poor mum has learned the hard way!!!

Extremely poor service

If i could give this company negative or minus stars i would.

My mother passed away on friday the 12th of august and she had a funeral plan with this company. upon her death i contacted their so called 24 hour bereavement helpline to sort the funeral director to sort the funeral out but i got no answer to either of their contact numbers.

Then to make matters worse on the following day i called them at 9am to get the plan sorted, i spoke to a call handler who said she would get a member of the bereavement team to contact me urgently within 2 hours. but as of 3:30pm that same day no one even contacted me. so i had to get another funeral director to sort this out.

Don't use this company.

WARNING TO ALL THAT HAVE PURCHASED

This company has withdrawn its application to be FCA registered, I would strongly encourage you ALL to check the status of your money, as from 29th July they will not be able to continue trading. I hope none of you lose any money, but I fear you may! Please see the Finacial Conduct Authority webpage for more information. Call this company NOW and ask what is going to happen to your money from July 29th and if possible seek an immediate refund!

STAY CLEAR I emailed this company on several…

I emailed this company on several occasions, asking about the funeral directors they use in my area. But no response. The small print says that if you don't use one of their funeral directors on their list you will be charged extra. But I can't seem to be able to get one. I think this is all a con. The only problem is I won't be around to sort it out. Which obviously Rest assured knows ! I would stay ckear

NO BUSINESS MORALS OR ETHICS

A company set up for nothing more than greed and profit. No level of customer service and certainly no business morals or ethics. Truly is beyond me how they have the audacity to call me as many times as they did - tethering on harassment !!
Only one thing at the forefront of their brain SALES SALES SALES and sensitivity or empathy don’t come in to the equation
All I will say is this, be very cautious and be very careful when allowing yourself or loved ones to proceed with a rest assured funeral plan.

This company keeps bombarding me with unsolicited sales calls. I have told them repeatedly that I am not interested but the calls still keep coming. I would not recommend this company simply because of their aggressive sales techniques

Rest Assured is a great company

Rest Assured is a great company. I spoke with Ria who was very professional and trustworthy. She was very friendly and not pushy in any respect and she is a real asset to the company. With all this in mind I have now taken out a Funeral Plan and will recommend them to all my friends.

Easy and comfortable to do

I have recently taken out a funeral plan with Rest Assured and it was a very easy comfortable experience. All was explained clearly and a big shout out to TOM DODD a really nice man who is a credit to the company. hats off to Tom !
