I am having a terrible interaction with this company beginning 10/20/23 and still not resolved as of 12/13/23. I highly recommend you DO NOT USE Resume Lord.

Their resume writing service is poor quality. I was constantly needing to correct their basic mistakes, from not putting my job history in order, to repeating words and descriptions throughout the resume. I have 20+ years' experience and they started my cover letter with My journey began...and went into my most current job. Extremely sloppy and low caliber. They also blatantly lied about my experience and took their liberties way farther than acceptable.

After more than six drafts spanning a month, I gave up and asked for a refund. I was told I should expect my refund in 8-10 business days. That was two weeks ago. They have also gone silent on communication.

I will be going and reporting them to the BBB and will be fighting the charge with my bank.

Please go with another company. You could do better writing your own or having a high school business student writing it. Definitely not worth the money, time or hassle.

I appreciate the service, recommendations, and patience that Edward exhibited during this process. I was first skeptical about this, but at the end, it's absolutely legit and very well delivered. Edward Philips and his team have helped me to brush up my resume and cover letter professionally. Their turnover time is quick and allowed several edits if necessary until you're satisfied. I feel very relieved and glad that I've found them and feel more confident with my job search because of their assistance on my resume and cover letter.

Resume Lord was an amazing experience. Not only did they create me an excellent resume, but Edward was with me every step of the way. His communication with me on every step left me having a great experience with Resume Lord. They also created me a LinkedIn page to make my presents know on social media as well. Thank you Edward and team. You hit another home run. I wouldn't go anywhere else to get my resume, cover letter, thank you letter and LinkedIn in account made except RESUME LORD.

While it wasn't the worst experience, I would not recommend this company's work to a friend or colleague.

PROS:
My communication with Oliver Cooper, who I'm still not sure was the actual writer or more of the account middleman, was great. He was super quick to respond and always respectful.

After sending feedback, the turnaround time for receiving a revised resume was very quick.

CONS:
Just to be aware - you are only communicating through text and email. You don't get to actually speak to anyone so they can understand your career/work or even what jobs you're going after.

Even if you email them with - what was the writer going after here, what was their vision, what do they think of this or that- all of those questions will go unanswered bc there's no personalization here.

I found the writing...fine. I ultimately will use some of the lines, but I feel like I ended up writing a lot of lines bc they couldn't seem to either grasp the work that I was doing or come up with really sharp wording.

There was a package above the one I bought, I wonder if I would have gotten more sophisticated writing if I paid more?

They offer you a selection of templates that you have to choose from. Most of them were colored and/or had space for a photo for you, which is the exact thing I've heard from a ton of recruiters that you should not do. I chose the most basic template they had and still asked them to tweak, so dont be afraid to push back on design options.

Ultimately they send you a PDF version of the final resume, so its uneditable I asked for the word version and the formatting is strange. Sadly I'm not going to even use the final resume they created, I'm just taking a few lines.

They offer a cover letter which was created after my resume was finalized and it was exactly my resume spelled out in long form sentences to create the cover letter. I would never send that and it was a waste of an asset. Didnt bother trying to start over on the editing process as I was unhappy with the resume process.

Overall if you're tight on money and want someone to create a basic solid resume, this could work, but I have to imagine with the millions of companies out there, you can find stronger ones that are more clear on the rules of engagement.
