Conveyancing Service Experience
Complete Lack of Professionalism, Communication, and Accountability
I used these 'alleged' solicitors for the conveyancing of my flat sale, and the service was disastrous from start to finish.
* **Zero Communication:** Responsiveness was nonexistent. Calls, texts, and emails went unanswered for days, severely disrupting all promised timelines!
* **Avoidable Delays:** Unnecessary delays plagued the process. Assurances that "everything was on track" proved untrue, adding significant stress to the process and a lack of transparency, as we had no timeline and lived in constant stress!
* **Funds Withheld Post-Completion:** The most alarming issue was the firm's failure to release my sale funds after completion. Funds were withheld for more than 72 hours without explanation or communication, despite the firm being fully aware of urgent financial and travel commitments. I was forced to escalate the matter to a senior partner and involve external parties to secure my money.
* **Billing Issues & Negligence:** The final financial statement contained an error, including an unjust charge for interest due to the solicitor prematurely requesting the mortgage redemption statement and receiving a completion statement without basic details such as my name and the solicitor's (which is now submitted to the SRA).
At the end, the solicitor charged an extortionate fee that I did NOT agree to or consent to him doing, and never sent me a quotation or invoice to date, but forcefully took the amount anyway!
This level of service is criminal, and I have reported it to the SRA and the Law Society! Please, I strongly advise you to AVOID this service. Accountability and client care were completely absent, and I am surprised how they are allowed to practice 'law'!
