Poor quality, two out of five broke.
Look nice, too expensive for bad quality.
Contacted them online but absolutely no response 🤔

Very poor quality stop-chamfer stair spindles. Many chamfers didn’t match, even on the same spindle! The ends of quite a few chamfers also had snipe where the cutter had dug in more making them look like an inexperienced router operator had made them.

The ones I ordered were supposedly ‘paint ready’ but they had more dings than a coach party of bell ringers rolling down a hill. Some of them had large chunks missing.

Out of the 43 spindles ordered, only 13 were actually ready to use! The rest had to either be replaced or fixed before they were usable. Not sure the extra cost was worth it as I ended up taking pretty much the same time overall and still had to do a lot of filling and sanding!

The oak base and hand rails I ordered at the same time were better quality thankfully so only deducted stars to reflect the poor quality of the spindles.

Absolutely brilliant customer service from start to finish.
Kristine provided all the information that I needed to plan, order and receive my goods.
I would definitely recommend this company.

I can’t recommend Richard Burbidge and the team enough. I wanted my stairs to feature their elements range and didn’t know where to start. I filled in the form and sent my details and the following day I had been contacted with everything I needed, how to assemble and who I could talk to if I needed any further help. After making a few adjustments to the design and a simple phone call to purchase and arrange delivery my beautiful staircase was on its way. Throughout the process of treating the wood to assembly they were in call if I needed advice and I can honestly say nothing was too much trouble. I couldn’t recommend enough and I did to a friend who also had a similar experience. Thank you Richard Burbidge for an outstanding service.
