When we found our scooter we assumed we’d be able to use it straight away and then found we had to walk it for 5 minutes to a designated riding zone. Only once we started the ride were we able to see that the ride zone in Wollongong was extremely minimal. By this point it had charged us $10. Tried to end ride and would not allow us to do so as it was in a no parking zone.
More than half of the scooters I used were unsafe — crooked handlebars, weak brakes, or broken helmets. I had to end some rides early and take another scooter just to feel safe.
I reported everything on time, but support kept replying with copy-paste “safety tips” and finally told me it was “too late” for a refund. They refunded $1.68 out of over $24 spent.
Neuron keeps saying “safety is our top priority,” but that’s just corporate BS bingo. Terrible service — avoid if you value your money and safety.
