Great company to deal with
I have used Rimmer's for the last 15 years not only for Triumph parts but also parts for my Land Rover. Not only is their mail order service second to non, but I had occasion to visit their counter in person. This certainly opened my eyes to the slick, vast amount of parts stocked and well run operation.
Well done Rimmer's keep up the great work.

I am from the US. I called and spoke with a very knowledgeable person. He got me exactly what I needed and I received it 3 days later!!!! That is amazing. I would buy again and would recommend them to anyone!

Great stock - great service!
I was blown away by the sheer range of stock they have on the shelf. Some parts suppliers just sell the big ticket items - these guys sell the lot. And all at sensible prices. Shipped super quick too. Definitely my one stop shop from now on.

mgb gt v8 parts
Sourced a direct replacement Starter Motor for my MGB GT V8 from Rimmer Bros. Their websites clearly states the item to be a direct replacement, however, when the item arrived it is NOT a direct replacement. I rang Rimmer Bros to inform them and got basically fobbed off. Very bad customer service and misleading website. I have used this company for the last 5 years or so on & off, via internet, phone and directly from their shop, if you can go elsewhere I would recommend you do so

Sent me a used Alternator...
Ordered an aftermarket alternator and finally arrived a week later (a little slow given the cost of delivery, but fine.)
We opened it, to find it was covered in dust and dirt, clearly been used before!! Called and after 3 attempts finally reached someone who explained clearly someone had "dumped a returned alternator back into stock"... He was unapologetic and said there was nothing he could do to deliver a new one due to the weekend. I asked him to send a new one straightaway as the service was not acceptable. He didn't call back all day with an update, meaning I had to chase once again. Finally and seemingly reluctantly they sent out a new one the next day and collected the used one the next week (thankfully free of charge as I hear usually they charge you...).
No apology but I suppose I should be thankful I finally have the part I ordered...

AmyC ordered an RTC5682P Alternator from our website at 21:27 on Monday the 24th August, we shipped it on Tuesday the 25th August via DPD, delivery was attempted on Wednesday the 26th but unfortunately no-one was in and a calling card left at 10:55, it was subsequently delivered at 12:44 on Friday the 28th as requested by the recipient. Sadly, our supplier had sent us a used item in new packaging.
AmyC called and spoke to Keith at 14:38 on Friday the 28th to inform us of the problem and he immediately checked our remaining stock and arranged to send a replacement via DPD Saturday service which was delivered at 10:31 on Saturday 29th August.
On the 28th AmyC called us twice, once to report the problem at 14:38 and then at 16:00 to follow up, She spoke with Keith initially and when she called back Paul transferred her through to Keith as he had the details of the resolution. We arranged for a carrier to pickup the used item the following week.

Terrible company - massively out of pocket
They sold me a dog crate for my Discovery 4. This part didn't fit and so I had to contact them to get a returns number As it was too large for me to post back, they said they'd collect it for £14.
4 different times they've given me a date for a courier and assured me a courier was en route and my wife waited in all day. 4 times they failed to collect and they never, ever return calls. 2 weeks later and I'm totally stuck.
A terrible customer service dept and now I'm stuck with a £200 cage that's useless with no recourse. Avoid like the plague.

David placed an order on our website for a Genuine Land Rover Discovery 3 & Discovery 4 Dog Guard 21st June. He emailed us on the 28th June and asked for a return authorisation number as the item didn't fit his vehicle we provided the authorisation by email on the 29th June. David could not find a courier to return the item due to the size of it so called us on the 1st July and we offered to arrange a collection utilising our couriers. He agreed and we arranged the collection as requested but unfortunately the courier company DX Freight failed to make the collection when expected. We tried several times to make the collection happen and eventually after our Sales Manager remonstrated with DX freight on Friday 10th July it was collected and returned to us. The dog guard arrived back to us in a poor state missing keys and fixings rendering it useless and in an un-saleable condition. Despite this we have refunded David £147.64 out of the £190.21 originally paid which represents the price of the dog guard less the delivery and collection costs.

We have the most comprehensive online parts catalogue and have published a printed catalogue for a variety of models. We constantly source new lines and upgraded options on an on-going basis. We employ many ex MG Rover main dealer staff so we really do know our subject, and in our car park are MGs and Rovers used by our staff as their daily cars. Nobody has done more to keep MG Rovers on the road !

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! AVOID THIS SUPPLIER!!!!!!
I placed an order for delivery only to be contacted a day later with a quotation. The small print on the quotation said my order was being cancelled. After numerous telephone calls and emails trying to find out what was going on I was told that although they offered the product for sale and for delivery on there website that due to the nature of the product it was only available for collection not delivery and was promised by phone that I would be refunded later that day, by email I was told I would be refunded within 24 hours. It has now been several days and still no sign of a refund. Terrible supplier avoid at all costs, worst customer service I have ever experienced!

Tommy Blake ordered via our website a Royal Blue Touch Up Paint for delivery to Northern Ireland on the 4th June. Our website is very clear that due to the hazardous nature of the Paint it can only be shipped to mainland UK addresses. We have both yellow warning triangles with exclamation marks and explanatory text on every hazardous item on our website including this item. As this was the only item on the order and we could not offer to deliver it we had no option but to email Tommy Blake with an explanation and cancel the order on the 5th June. As the order was paid via paypal a full refund was issued back to the paypal account.

Won't use again
I ordered some small bolts online, the page said amount 10 for £9.14 plus vat. I received one. i phoned to see where the rest was but was told the price was for one. so i paid £11.56 for one bolt about 1 1/2" long.
I could have returned but they charge admin fees min £5 and they don't refund postage, it wasn't worth it.

K Bennett clearly misunderstood the quantity required shown on our website and in our catalogues. In keeping with automotive cataloguing world wide we show as a guide to ordering the number of bolts, nuts etc fitted to the vehicle. There is a guide to this on our website here http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/content--name-Parts-Information and in the front of all our catalogues. We sell parts individually so our website will show there are for example 4 wheels required for the car but we do not make you purchase 4 wheels to replace just a single wheel, we sell the wheels individually, the same is true of nuts and bolts. Additionally we only charge a handling fee if goods are returned outside the 14 day distance selling period and a full refund is required. As an added benefit we allow our customers to return unwanted parts up to 28 days after they receive the parts and to offset the full value against future purchases. Fantastic service and products
I had been looking at the Jaguar XFR diffuser for some time and finally placed the order with Rimmer Bros but before i did i needed to check that it would fit the car in question. The telephone service and attitude of the chap i spoke to couldn't have been better. I also asked about some touch up paint and was directed to the correct colour immediately based on the extensive knowledge of the operator.
A great company with next day delivery options if you are in a bind. I will definitely be using them again.
