A TOTAL SCAM! There is NO loans. They bait you into DEBT SETTLEMENT like everyone else. Your credit will be destroyed.

Wow such a great company, fantastic solutions

The support and caring about my worries on the debt, making me understand how the process works.

This Company is by far the most dedicated firm I've ever encountered. Their teams are resilient, very punctual and their Agents all merit the highest Mark because they put their hearts to their work and follow through extremely quick. My advice is that they should all be rewarded for their Valient Efforts and for taking care of Business. It's as n honor being part of something that helps us in times of need. I have had many calls of these types of programs but the people on the line did not give me the confidence and peace of mind he will be very resourceful through out the program agreement.

Basically scammers. It's a business, they need to be paid somehow and wouldn't openly disclose how they are when asked.

TL:DR; Their predatory business model relies on attracting people in debt who have zero knowledge of the credit system. It sounds like they are having you pay them (accruing interest and fees) while your accounts default. They negotiate (which you can do for free) for a lower payoff and profit the difference. Your credit is screwed for 7-10 years. This is only useful if you don't want to deal with creditors yourself and your credit is truly shot.

I received a random phone call from Rise Up and pulled up their website while we talked. They refused to give me specifics that are mentioned in their disclaimers. The rep hung up on me when I asked hard questions. I had probed if they take ownership of the debt, they said no. After repeated prompting they stated you pay a monthly fee.

Essentially if you are "eligible" for one of their programs, you pay them the money you agree on which includes a monthly fee. They now hold onto this money in a savings account and negotiate with your creditors before they pay them. I asked the rep what happens if the creditors default your account and send it to collections since Rise Up is not forwarding payment to the creditor.

Prior to hanging up with me he said "You are responsible for all payments to your creditor. If you pay us, you are guaranteed to not have any issues." I asked if you needed to pay both them and the creditor, which he said "No". I asked what guarantees that my debt would not be defaulted, which is when he hung up.

Their websites FAQ clearly states, "Creditors may take legal action against customers if debts are not paid; legal notices should be sent to the client service team for prioritization. Settlement negotiators may be able to resolve creditor or lender’s accounts with payment plans and can provide referrals for further help if necessary. *NOTE: No legal advice is provided by Rise Up Debt Solutions."

Their bit on collections is fascinating too.
"Creditors hire collectors to collect debts and keep a percentage of the payments. Collection calls are a sign that debt resolution is working! It’s advisable to let unknown call numbers go to voicemail, and free apps can be used to block specific calls. Federal and state laws protect against collection harassment."

The fact that they mentioned collections calls as a "sign it's working" for accounts supposedly in good standing is insane!!

James was excellent in explaining the program. Answered all my questions and found a resolution I can deal with. This has lifted the" weight of the world off my shoulders".
