Tonia is an excellent facilator

Tonia is an excellent facilator. In short notice she was able to prepare an impactful presentation with many practical tips on managing upwards, emotional regulations, and de-escalating conflict. This spoke to her depth of knowledge on the topic.

As a school counselor who has worked…

As a school counselor who has worked closely with RLRG over the past 7 years at different institutions, I can confidently say that their program is one of the most impactful and thoughtfully designed mental health resources available for children today. RLRG's approach combines evidence-based cognitive behavioral strategies with engaging, developmentally appropriate content that truly resonates with our students.

What sets RLRG apart is its emphasis on emotional self-regulation and practical problem-solving. We’ve seen a noticeable shift in our students' ability to recognize, articulate, and manage their emotions. Children who previously struggled with emotional outbursts are now using the tools they've learned—like reframing negative thoughts and planning ahead—to navigate everyday challenges both in and outside the classroom.

Parents have shared positive feedback as well, reporting calmer interactions at home and improved communication with their children. It’s been incredibly rewarding to watch students grow in confidence and resilience, developing the emotional intelligence they need to succeed not just academically, but socially and personally as well.

RLRG’s curriculum is aligned with New Jersey's mental health 2.1 standards, making it an easy and valuable addition to our school’s programming. The flexibility of their online training via Udemy allows our staff to get up to speed quickly and on their own schedules. Plus, the user-friendly data center has made it easy for us to track progress and share outcomes with parents and administrators.

RLRG isn’t just a program—it’s a partner in our mission to support the whole child. I wholeheartedly recommend their services to any school or family looking to build a stronger foundation of emotional health and resilience in children.

I have been an intern/counselor coach…

I have been an intern/counselor coach with the Robinson Lloyd Resiliency Group for 2 years, working alongside Mrs. Tonia Lloyd. It is such a fantastic experience to be part of this phenomenal program. Children today have so much to carry and insufficient resources to help them unpack the load.
At Resilient Stars, we create a safe place; the program encourages the children to become more aware of their emotions, emotional regulation, schoolwork improvement, and relationships, helping build their grit and self-esteem.
During my experience, I had many opportunities to witness children improving right before my eyes—the program's impact and effect on the children are impressive.
Mrs. Lloyd has helped and encouraged me in many ways to become an effective counselor. She poured, pulled, and pushed me because she saw in me what I could not see at the time. I will forever be grateful for her patience, kindness, time, love, and care.
I highly recommend the Resilient Stars program to any parent and child. I wish there were a program like this when I grew up. It could have helped my younger self in many ways.

College Achieve review for Ms. Sandra Casillas

My son who is 13 years old recently began 7th grade at College Achieve in Paterson and is a part of the Program. Due to bullying issues at his previous school, I had to homeschool him for six months, therefore it has been a transition attending a new school, but he has been working with Ms. Sandra Casillas from RLRG and she has been instrumental in helping him to adjust to a new environment with other students and has tremendously helped my son develop skills to empower him with his social and emotional abilities to continue to prosper with his schoolwork and fellow peers. My son feels extremely comfortable with Ms. Casillas and I am grateful for her work with him in helping him transition to a new school. I would highly recommend Ms. Casillas, she has done an excellent job with all the students at College Achieve. Thank you all the hard work and dedication from Ms. Casillas and the Robinson Lloyd Resiliency Group.

Can’t Recommend Enough

The Robinson Lloyd Resiliency Group is an amazing option when seeking helpful resources for you and or your children; they truly truly care about helping their clients in whatever way they can provided. I was working with Mrs.Lloyd herself and she helped me grow in so many ways as a student and a person in general. Pushing me to become more focused and involved with my school work when I felt like giving up on school, and helping me grow more mindful of my own emotions and others; I learned how to regulate my own emotions, and how to respond to others correctly as to not escalate high emotional situations but to actually solve them. I learned so many other things and was in a youth group where we discussed what we were learning and shared different strategies we were using to help ourselves and others. All in all I had an amazing experience and highly recommend the Robinson Lloyd Resiliency Group.

Highly Recommended

Children today have a lot of negative forces coming at them from all directions and if left unchecked, life can become very overwhelming and stressful for them. They send off behavior signals which are often misinterpreted. After working with Tonia and attending one of her presentations, that became a stark reality and I appreciated that eye-opener.

One of the youths who participated in the roleplay sessions said that he felt that he was heard and that his issues were being addressed as Tonia showed the adults the wrong and right way to handle certain situations. That propelled him to want to improve his behavior and performance at school. But this was not just role play, it was the reality that the Resilient Stars program opened our eyes to.

I appreciate Tonia’s dedication to ensuring that each child, in the end, is a better version of themselves. She demonstrates patience and calmness even in the face of adversity but her persistence does not allow her to give up on any child.

I would strongly recommend the Resilient Stars program to anyone who knows a child who needs to build grit, confidence or techniques to deal with the challenges of life. After all, today’s children are tomorrow’s Resilient Stars.

Excellent coaching service

We have the privilege of using Tonia's Resilient Star coaching service through Robinson Lloyd Resiliency Group for over 5 years now. Tonia has been an incredibly knowledgeable, kind and caring coach for our teenager. We highly appreciate Tonia's client centred approach, especially her all round communication and high professional standards. This open communication we missed in many other therapy/ clinic settings that our child was exposed to earlier in life. Tonia's professional reports and follow ups allow us to work together as a team to help our child.
We also appreciate the flexibility of the service, allowing in person sessions when we needed them in the past as well as moving into online sessions when distance became an issue.
We have benefited so much from Tonia's professional insight and high ethical standards towards supporting children and their families.
Thank you Robinson Lloyd Resiliency Group!
