Absolutely terrible experience
Absolutely terrible experience with RoadRunner Auto Transport. I booked transport for a lowered enthusiast vehicle and was assured the pickup was scheduled for today. The driver contacted me directly, confirmed pickup timing, and then completely disappeared without ever contacting the seller again. No updates, no communication, no accountability.
I spent the entire day coordinating with the seller, arranging availability, paperwork, and transport logistics only to be left scrambling at the last second with no actual carrier showing up. Customer support responses were generic and unhelpful, and I ultimately had to pay significantly more money to another company just to secure a guaranteed pickup.
Would not recommend if you value communication, reliability, or actually having your vehicle picked up when promised.
I had told the driver the day before the vehicle was suppose to be picked up that is was lowered, asked if there were any issues to let me know NOW. Never heard back for 14 plus hours, to then have your company tell me the driver showed up and attempted to load the vehicle. Not once was I asked about ground clearance before hand, good thing I mentioned it.

We apologize for the frustration surrounding your shipment experience. While we understand your disappointment, we would like to clarify that there was communication throughout the process.
After your order was placed on 5/20 for pickup on 5/22, a carrier was assigned to your shipment. Once the carrier reviewed the vehicle, they determined they could not safely transport it due to the vehicle’s low ground clearance and low tire. We were only made aware of the extent of these issues on the morning of transport.
As soon as we received this update from the carrier, our team contacted you to explain that, for the safety of your vehicle, an enclosed carrier would be required instead due to the vehicle’s low ground clearance.
We also responded to your outreach on 5/21 regarding carrier information and remained in contact with you throughout the process by phone and email. Ultimately, after being advised of the enclosed transport requirement, you chose to cancel the order.
The cancellation occurred last minute, and as a courtesy we waived the $135 cancellation fee.
We understand this situation was frustrating and appreciate your feedback as we continue working to improve the experience for customers.

If it was the only issue I would have been happy. They raised the cost by $300 based on the fact that there were a lot of demand when they actually quoted me a week ago $300 less.
Two people I called, kept being rude, cutting me off and complaining.
Be aware of their techniques.

Roadrunner Auto Transport used to be good - No Longer!
Roadrunner Auto Transport used to be very reliable, and I used it for several years. This year, there was no contact whatsoever about a booked shipment order - until one full week after the pickup date after we had driven the car ourselves to the destination. This was despite my trying to contact the company on the phone for a total of over eight hours for three days to determine the situation. Never an answer, not once. This same thing happened to another customer I had recommended. Roadrunner Auto Transport has become completely unreliable, and I will never use it again.
