Worst Customer Service in the Luxury Goods industry

I ordered custom luggage for my Porsche 911 (992.1) and encountered the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had.

Initially, I reached out to confirm the website’s luggage selection tool matched my car’s exact specifications. When I emailed for further confirmation, an agent contacted me, claiming the luggage I selected wouldn’t fit my car with a front-lift system and insisted I switch to a smaller size. To ensure accuracy, I even sent him my car’s VIN number, which includes all options and specs. Despite this, he assured me the smaller luggage was necessary.

Trusting a company whose business is centered on custom luggage for luxury sports cars, I proceeded with the order. I’ve used similar custom luggage from them for my Audi R8, which fit perfectly, so I expected a similar experience.

After waiting six weeks, I found another issue: the luggage was listed on two different websites, CKS and Roadster, at different price points. When I inquired about the discrepancy, the same agent not only ignored my question but also removed one of the listings without explanation, only to later tell me I was mistaken. He then called me at 8 a.m. (Canada time), berated me, and said he wouldn’t have sold to me had he known about my concerns. I had to raise my voice to counter his unprofessional behavior, which startled my newborns.

Upon receiving the luggage, I paid for duties and shipping and took it to my dealership to verify fit before my European delivery. Shockingly, both the front trunk (frunk) and back window luggage didn’t fit at all. This was especially frustrating, as the website pictures depict the luggage fitting perfectly in these areas, which was a key factor in my purchase decision. The dealership confirmed that the front-lift system wouldn’t impact luggage fitment, contradicting the agent’s claims. Also said no 911 model ever had a frunk size discrepancy that they know of. Whether Targa Carrera S GTS etc.

When I shared photos of the misfit with the company, I was once again met with this same aggressive, disgruntled agent. His responses were condescending, dismissive, and showed a complete lack of accountability. Rather than honor their 14-day return policy, he claimed the luggage was custom and that I was responsible for verifying dimensions. Despite following their advice, I am now left with thousands of dollars in unusable luggage and no recourse. When I attempted to escalate the issue, I was told to contact their lawyers.

Frankly, this agent has no place in the luxury goods and customer service industry. His aggressive, hostile attitude toward customers is entirely inappropriate and goes against the standards one would expect in this market. I also have serious concerns that the ownership may not be aware of my situation, as it appears this agent has tried to cover his mistakes multiple times. I don’t even have his name as he never signed of with anything. He mostly replied in a short brief and expeditiously manner.

I am now pursuing a resolution through the UK Consumer Protection Bureau and am awaiting further response. This has been an ordeal from start to finish, and I sincerely hope management becomes aware of the aggressive and unprofessional behavior from their customer NO service agent.

Proceed with caution if you’re considering this company. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. I will follow up with review if ever ownership finds a resolution and makes things right. Good luck !!

On August 23, you placed a special order for a set of bags for your 911, all models and iterations we know very well. We work directly with manufacturers, which allows us to provide the best bags for each vehicle, maximising available space.

Your special order was shipped via UPS Express at no extra cost on October 8, with the bags custom-made to your specifications.

Throughout this process, it became clear that you were more focused on negotiating discounts rather than addressing any actual issues. You frequently contacted our team, sometimes multiple times a day, demanding a discount that wasn’t available. Despite our staff’s polite responses and even attempts to call you, your tone escalated, and you raised your voice, at one point claiming we disturbed your children, when in fact it was yourself who was shouting.

You didn’t provide any evidence of problems with our bags; instead, you visited your local Porsche dealership, took photos of unrelated vehicles, and compared them with our bags, rather than testing the bags on your own model. Our bags were specifically designed for your vehicle, not other models in the Porsche 911 lineup.

Your daily complaints included threats and even plans to visit us in person. The Roadster bags we crafted for your order were absolutely correct for your vehicle. We’ve been in this business for over 24 years, delivering high-quality products and receiving daily orders from customers worldwide. Our team has extensive knowledge to ensure every bag is optimally designed and visually appealing.

It’s unfortunate that our team’s hard work was overshadowed by circumstances completely unrelated.

Quality product.

Delivery was quicker than promised. Bags appear well made and have a quality feel. I’m looking forward to my first road trip to try them out.

Very High Quality but Consider Total Cost When Purchasing

The bags are very high quality. I previously had a set for my BMW 228i convertible, so I knew they were high quality going into the purchase. Despite the known quality I was hesitant to make the purchase for my 718 Porsche because the price seems to reflect the attitude that Porsche drivers are willing to pay more. The 4 bag set for the BMW including two trolley bags and two small carry bags. It is over $100 less than 3 bag set with two smaller trolley bags and a very small carry bag that seems of little practical use. Despite the price difference I ordered the bags and I'm as pleased with them. Be aware that you must pay import customs on the purchase which I was shocked to learn was about 20% (another $208). If you want the best quality, then these are the bags to order. If you want the best value there are certainly other choices to consider.

Very smart luggage and eye catching

Very smart luggage and eye catching. Liked that I could put reg in to ensure I had picked the right selection for my car. Needed to check the pics online to fit it all in as there is a hidden recess at back of boot where one of the bags nestles, never knew it was there! I asked for Roadster logo and expected 'Roadster' and just got 'R' but as both our names begin with 'R' we are quite happy.
