So happy that my little bird visitors can feed safely

Prompt delivery and easy to place order. I have fed back to them that instructions would be helpful and the screws more visible as they were hidden in the bubble wrap!
Having said that, I am very happy that Roamwild have now produced a cage that fits onto all their bird feeders which stops starlings stealing all the food very quickly. I have spent so much money on bird feeders, one claiming to be starling proof but certainly wasn't. The sellers have now removed this statement, perhaps they have met my starlings! The feeder itself was good and keeps out squirrells.
I was getting about twenty starlings with their young fighting, squawking, making a mess and bullying the other birds. They are contortionists and have long beaks but need to have better manners!

It was delightful to see a black cap happily eating mealworms inside the cage attachment and then perching halfway up the cage waiting for a safe time to fly to the nearby bushes and trees. I can watch them from the kitchen window and they come down when I call them.
The feeder I bought is big and well made and should normally last the little birds quite a while and I am so pleased that I can now use it with the new cage attachment.

Dear Jacqui

We're sorry to hear the birds haven't taken to the feeder.

We would like to point out that we have checked our records and have not received any email, call or message from you throughout the entire time you have owned the feeder. Had you contacted us at any point we would have been delighted to help troubleshoot your setup, this is something we do regularly for customers who experience this exact issue and the vast majority of issues are resolved quickly with a few simple adjustments.

The most common reason birds don't transition to a new feeder is that it has been left out alone without any familiar feeders nearby. We'd recommend hanging the PestOff alongside an existing feeder, letting the old one run down without refilling it, and using 100% sunflower hearts which smaller birds find absolutely irresistible. Positioning near a tree or bush also helps enormously as it gives birds a safe retreat while they build confidence with something new.

Regarding value, our PestOff range has sold over a million units across the UK and USA, has been independently recommended by the Telegraph as the UK's number one bird feeder, and has received thousands of five-star reviews from delighted customers.

It is never too late for us to help, please do get in touch directly and we're confident that with a few simple adjustments your garden will be full of birds very soon.

Kind regards,
The Roamwild Team

Extremely helpful

Lou was extremely helpful and understood the problem straight away. She arranged a replacement part and the birds are happily using the feeder again.

An excellent well designed feeder.

The feeder has proven to be an excellent saver of money, as the only seed that drops on the ground is from the bird's beak as it flies away. My savings seem to be well over 50%, and I haven't had to buy any seed for ages.
On top of this, the feeder rarely needs cleaning at all, except on top, which takes about 10 seconds.
There has to be a small drawback, and there is one: when it is windy. It waves around in the wind and needs to be positioned carefully when that occurs- something I haven't yet solved properly.

Great customer service!

I reached out to customer service with photos of my broken item. They were quick to respond with a solution to replace my lower assembly and forwarded an invoice. The replacement arrived quickly. There were no instructions included, but I was able to search online for help.

Very disappointed with the company.

We have brought several feeders from this company. The last one cost nearly £40 it has however two major issues, first one is since purchasing the feeder not one bird has landed on it. Even if all other feeders have been removed.
The other bigger problem is that squirrels have damaged the feeder trying to get to the food, we sent the company pictures of the damage. They then wanted pictures of where the feeder was positioned. They then advised we should move the feeder.it hangs in the middle of a large arch on a hook. No replacement offered, no repair, no nothing. They show a picture of a squirrel on the feeder but clearly it is not squirrel proof. Also it is easily damaged, the birds don’t like it. The company who I have a been a customer for many years have been no help at all. I will be taking my custom else where in the future and I suggest you do the same. Very dissatisfied with the company.

Dear Sheena

We're sorry to hear you've been disappointed, particularly as a long-standing customer, which we genuinely appreciate.

We'd like to address both issues you've raised.

On the birds not visiting, removing all other feeders is unfortunately the most common reason birds don't transition to a new feeder and it's the opposite of what we recommend.

When all familiar feeders disappear at once, birds simply go elsewhere rather than try something new. We always advise hanging the new feeder alongside existing ones and letting the old ones run down naturally so the birds transition at their own pace. It is important not to refill the old feeders and if possible always use sunflower hearts. We're confident that with this approach you would see birds using the feeder.

Regarding the squirrel damage, asking for a photo of the hanging position is standard practice as positioning is the most common cause of squirrels being able to damage a feeder. The PestOff feeder should have at least 45cm of clear space between it and any nearby pole, fence, wall, tree or structure as per the instructions included. A hook in the middle of a large arch may still provide squirrels with a surface close enough to lean from or use as a platform without triggering the weight-sensitive ports. Squirrels are amazingly agile but will give up if something is hard work for little reward , when hung correctly with a long thin bracket of at least 18 inches, the squirrel has nothing to brace against, the ports close the moment it lands and it quickly moves on.

We would also note that we absolutely can offer replacement parts lower assemblies and other components are available on our website, and our team would have been happy to discuss this had the conversation continued. We're sorry if this wasn't made clear.

Our PestOff range has sold over a million units across the UK and USA, has been independently recommended by the Telegraph and has received thousands of five-star reviews. We'd genuinely love to help you get the feeder working as it should, please do get in touch directly and we'll do everything we can to help retain you as a customer.

Kind regards,
The Roamwild Team

A very good design.

I bought two of Roamwild's hanging feeders, designed to feed songbirds, but not squirrels rats etc, some years ago. Both worked well, but one sustained damage and I ordered a new one. The new one shows how even the good original design has undergone development. The new one is a little larger, and the internal design now allows the birds to feed as before, but less seed drops to the ground. Now the many songbirds that use them get what they need, and what does end up on the ground is finished off by ground feeders. A lot of thought went into this design, and I have found nothing better.

Great customer service

Got the new feeder to prevent squirrels and big birds (3.0). I’ve had it for 6 weeks and I was getting no birds eating from it whatsoever, they were eating from my other feeders, so I started to get dubious. I emailed the customer service a few times and they kept giving me advice. And now my little birds are eating from it! Thank you for the advice and help x

Great feeders

Products are well made and always arrive very quickly. They cost more than many I’ve previously bought from shops but they’re much better so in the long run are better value.

Well packed bird feeder

Well packed and safe delivery.
Great quality birdfeeder, easy to assemble. The blue tits have already mastered it and the magpies and pigeons seem to be staying away !

Thumbs up

Fast delivery, well packaged, product seems excellent so far, high quality and works well for small birds and stops the larger birds stealing all the food. Seems to be worth the extra money so far
