A great company to deal with and a fantastic looking product.

I recently purchased a custom gaming table from Robert Rose Carpentry, and it's honestly transformed how we play games in our household. The craftsmanship is exceptional – sturdy, rustic, and clearly made with care. The solid wood gives it real presence in the room, while the design is thoughtful and highly practical.

The recessed play area is a game-changer. It allows us to keep games set up securely, which is perfect for longer campaigns or sessions we can’t finish in one sitting – especially useful with kids around! When not in use, the table leaves can be placed over the top, instantly converting it into a regular dining or activity table. This flexibility means we don’t have to sacrifice space or risk pieces getting knocked over.

We visited the workshop before ordering, and everyone was really friendly and helpful. It gave us the chance to review the wood stain and insert options in person, which made us feel confident in our choices. After delivery, Stuart worked with us to resolve a few niggles, and the end result is absolutely perfect.

I added the optional rail system and under-table storage, which has been fantastic for keeping the table leaves tucked away neatly. After that, I picked up four cupholders, which have been surprisingly handy - great for drinks, snacks, or storing dice.

I also purchased the matching benches. They are very comfortable, not too heavy to move around, but sturdy and well-built. The internal storage fits several board games and helps keep the space tidy between sessions.

All in all, the table and benches are functional, beautifully made, and ideal for families who love board games but also need flexible living space. Highly recommended.

We asked for a table to be created using part of whisky barrel. It absolutely came out amazingly well and was built in record time! Highly recommend.
