I have been a customer of Rose Cottage…

I have been a customer of Rose Cottage for around 16 years. You cannot fault them . All the vets and support staff are amazing and so caring. Their charges are very fair and they always discuss treatment options and never suggest unneccesary procedures just to bump up their income. So an ethical vets who are outstanding. Just promted to write this because of the new rules coming in about price capping. Rose Cottage have never charged me unreasonable prices for treatment ( unlike some horror stories, like my daughter having a 2£thousand bill for a rabbit who was admitted to a corporate vets in London and observed for 3 days before it died ) so i feel blessed to be a customer of this practice . Thank you

Pricing is not transparent and the owner is rude.

I rang up to ask for euthanasia for my 17year old cat. I was quoted £100 but once I got there the price was £150. My partner took my cat in and was questioned twice by the vet and the nurse, even though he told them it was not his cat. This review resulted in 4 or 5 rude texts making an already difficult day harder. He used the apology of making an appointment for a meal I wouldn't be given prices of the desert. No empathy. So upset. Don't use. Animal trust Blackburn brilliant.

Highly recommended practice.

I have used Rose cottage practice for some years now. They have never failed to exceed my expectations. My dog is a Great Dane cross and I am in no doubt that she remains in excellent health at the very advanced age of 12 is very much due the exceptional care she has received here. She actually enjoys her visits and is quite besotted with the staff! Despite not being a specialist avian vet our chickens have always had very knowledgeable care and are kept in peak health. Always willing to be transparent, never seeking to run up big bills, very fair pricing coupled with a genuine passion for their work and love for their patients means we would not go anywhere else and highly recommend them.

Excellent Vets Practice…

I have been using Rose Cottage for over ten years for my dogs. The team are compassionate, dedicated, knowledgeable and reliable. Their out of hours facilities are excellent and they are always available for advice. Their care of our last poorly dog at the end of his life was second to none. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

I would NEVER take my animals to any…

I would NEVER take my animals to any vet that likes to kill foxes, hares, rabbits, deer and anything else they can find to rip apart. THEN lie about it using TRAIL HUNT LIES as a smoke screen. She also knows FULL WELL how's those poor fox hounds are kept. Outside in all weathers in concrete kennels and are disposed of once they can't keep up anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if she was the one putting them down. This is NOT how you keep dogs. They should be part of a family inside a home. Evil disgusting woman is more than happy to ride with these poor dogs. Why doesn't she stick up for them? For more info follow the amazing Cheshire Hunt Sabs. They have plenty of evidence of illegal hunting by her and her hunt.

SHAMBLES OF A VET

first time using this vet and will never be using them again. changes prices misleading and clearly there reception team don't have knowledge of dogs.

i will be going back to my regular vet and advise anyone else who has problems with this awful vet to use 2 Vet ltd. never had an issue and go above and beyond for their customers. Had a second chance to fix the issues and still couldn't offer a Professional service.

Avoid at all costs!

I am sorry but the thought of taking my beloved pet to someone that is a director of a hunt that illegally hunts foxes with packs of hounds is just not going to happen. How can anyone that has taken the oath with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons happily go out with the intention of ripping the guts out of a fox for fun?

Owner is a hunt director

Liz Gorse, owner of Rose Cottage vets in Runcorn, is a subhuman hunt director and enjoys killing animals for fun in her spare time. Would you trust someone like this to care for your pet? The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons should be ashamed and embarrassed to have her as a member. Deplorable, contemptible and dishonourable.
