CHANGING THEIR SYSTEM WITHOUT LETTING US KNOW IS NOT GOOD!

I've bought loads of Rosemary Conley Solo Slim items over the last year and they have ALWAYS arrived within a couple of days of ordering but I ordered some 4 days ago - and nothing, not even an e-mail saying it had been dispatched.
Other non-meal items take 5-7 days which is fine but the foods were always given a 48hour service.
Until now.
Nothing in the order form that I can find that says it will be dealt with differently this time. Nothing in the brightly coloured advert either so I ordered as usual and planned my week so I could be available when needed to accept and/or sign for items.
Phoned this morning and got a CS lady who said the 48 hours thing was 'the old way' when they included cheese in the orders (more time sensitive than other meals) so they weren't using that timescale now. That's fine - BUT WHY DIDN'T THEY MAKE THAT TOTALLY CLEAR FOR US REGULARS WHO OBVIOUSLY EXPECT THINGS TO BE THE SAME!!! I don't go out to work (happily retired) but even I have a life that involves being out of the home and I need to arrange things to be home when needed.
Why do I feel so strongly about this? 2 reasons. One is that there have been several times when there were missing items (1 whole box on 1 occasion) so the packing side of it isn't perfect. I always got things put right eventually (in spite of being given completely wrong info when a whole box went missing, but CS agents are as human as the rest of us) so generally they get 9 out of 10 for 'sorting problems'.
The second reason missing or delayed parcels are a touchy subject for me is that some time ago I expected a parcel (not from RC) which was on a 48hour delivery schedule but didn't arrive. Long story short - idiot driver ignored correct address which included the name of the beautiful Caravan Park where I live and spent days trying to deliver it to a terraced house in another town!! I've also had several other problems with cheap courier companies losing or delaying things.
The ParcelForce driver who has delivered at least a dozen orders to me from RC is perfect and I've never had a single complaint about him or the service. But I don't know when ordering if the courier may have been changed - who knows these days of counting pennies.
The bottom line for me about being unhappy about the parcel not even being sent yet is that when regular customers make purchases they (or at least I) read the small print very carefully THE FIRST TIME. After many purchases I don't read it any more. I expected the same service and haven't got it and there was nothing OBVIOUS when I read about the special offer that I chose this time.
The CS lady I spoke to this morning said the difference is they don't send cheese any more. **Well, Customer Service folk, the last 4-5 orders I've made DID NOT INCLUDE CHEESE EITHER BUT THEY ALL ARRIVED WITHIN THE 48 HOUR SERVICE**.
So how was I supposed to know you'd changed things?
