Gift card Theft

I attended the Sherri Shepherd Show where PartyLite gifted the audience a $300 electronic gift card for candles. The card expired in December, so last month I placed my order before the deadline. Shortly after, I received an email from PartyLite saying they could not fulfill my order due to low inventory and canceled it. While I understand items can go out of stock, what I do not understand is how they refused to reinstate or return my $300 gift card.

I reached out to their customer service multiple times asking if I could order different items or use the card later. Each time, my concern was completely ignored. Instead of offering a solution, they just repeated that my order was canceled. Finally, they “offered” me a 20% discount on a future order — as if that somehow makes up for losing $300. It does not. That is not a fair resolution; it feels like theft.

How is it acceptable to take $300 from a customer, cancel their order, and then refuse to return the value of the gift card? This is absolutely unacceptable business practice. Save your money and avoid being taken advantage of the way I was.

PartyLite has Attitude…

Signed-up to become a sales affiliate after coming across a free join promotion. Didn't last long. Had asked in there Facebook group that they had provided for us affiliates just a general question consisting of if someone from Canada can join as a potential recruit had reached out and inquired but instead they coped an attitude and said that I was in violation to a rule. How do they expect you to recruit then???
