If you’re considering Route Africa
If you’re considering Route Africa, be warned. I paid for a domain renewal today and after hours of waiting, there’s been no update, no confirmation, and no response to calls or WhatsApp messages.
This is not the first time they’ve handled things this poorly. Their lack of communication and accountability is extremely unprofessional. Domain services require trust—Route Africa has lost mine.

We would like to clarify that your domain was successfully renewed. The apparent delay you experienced was due to checking the domain status using a third-party WHOIS service. Some external WHOIS platforms cache data and may take several hours (or longer) to reflect updates.
For .tz domains, the authoritative and real-time WHOIS source is whois.tznic.or.tz, which reflected the renewal correctly shortly after processing.
That said, we acknowledge that our communication should have been faster and clearer, and we take responsibility for that. We are actively improving our response handling to ensure clients receive timely confirmations and updates going forward.
