Avoid RPC

My entire experience with this company has been shocking. I sent my device to them on the 04.04.19, it took them until the 17th to re-evaluate my device as apparently my device did not match their requirements. I accepted the offer straight away and was emailed back to state that my order would be updated and my payment should take no longer than 2 working days. I have emailed three times, and phoned three times. My emails have been ignored and upon phoning, been told that they don’t know why my payment hasn’t gone through and that they’ll manually push it through. After pushing it through manually twice - and being assured that within two days I would have my payment - I am still waiting. Phoning again tomorrow to try and chase up a payment that’s taken a month to process and not holding out much hope that it’ll be anytime soon. 100% would not recommend. AVOID!

Still awaiting payment 14 days later!!!

I sold a phone to RPC and it was cleared for payment on 24th April however I am still awaiting payment. I was advised of a payment error on 2nd May and told I would receive my payment within 24 hours and 6 days later I have still not received payment. I would NOT recommend RPC.

I was offered £48 online for my i phone sent it of to them within a couple of days received an email saying that they had found a fault with my device and re offered me £5 I declined there offer as I felt it was a con luckily my phone was returned to me within a week, I think I was one of the lucky ones after reading other peoples reviews . I would not use this company again they are conning people and since then I took my i phone into game they checked it on there machine and offered me £78 so just goes to show what sort of a company RPC are stay away !

Nearly 4 weeks it took for payment

Nearly 4 weeks it took for payment. Iphone 7 was immaculate just usual 'used' look. As advertised they give you full pay out for a used device not the case. I was told 170 then sent back was told 112 for the fact phone had been used. Desperate for payment i accepted. Took another 3 weeks for payment to be sent. I sent 3 emails and 1 phone call to get payment. They may give you the highest offer but trust me do not go with them. You will lose in the long run.

Very poor.

Very poor.
After reducing my phone value (by half) for being on a specific network it took over 5 weeks for the payment to be made.

They had numerous "system issues" meaning payment couldn't be made. The customer service was terrible, the login system isn't updated so you can track progress.

All in all a poor service. Avoid if you can. They seem to give the best quotes to all in the market, yet the reduction in prices is significant. They claims my screen was scratched yet in perfect condition when sent.

Shocking Service, AVOID

RPC Recycling are an absolute joke of a company, as close to a scam without actually being one as possible.

Promised a high price and a fast turn around I sent my device to them. 2 weeks later I had still not heard anything from them, called most days at most times with no answer.

After finally getting through to someone, they accused me of lying about calling, stating the phones are always manned and blamed a system issue for the delay.

I got offered a low ball offer as expected for damage that didn't exist. Declined the offer and requested the phone be sent back to me when they came back with another offer. I accepted and after another week still heard nothing. Finally got through to someone who informed me my phone hadn't even been processed/checked over yet. What a joke!!

I've finally received my money, after being charged a fee by RPC for the transacting. I will never use this company again and nor should you.

*****DO NOT USE******DO NOT USE********

This would of been 0 stars!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Had my phone since 8th April. Offered £228 originally then £90 after apparently it was scratched and had a 'burn' on the screen??? I accepted save me the hassle of getting the phone back etc...5 emails later still nothing, a promise of a reply in 48hours saying should have been paid...7days later still nothing. A disgrace should certainly not be in business.

Do not go near this company

Do not go near this company! Sent my 15 year old daughters phone to them as she wanted a but of extra cash. Phone was valued at £100. Sent it off and they offered £20 as they reckon there was a crack in the screen! There was no crack in the screen as I only took the screen protector off it the day it was posted! I declined and they sent a counter offer of £30, daughter decided she was ok with this as most companies were only offering £40 anyway! This was 3 weeks ago, still no money and no phone! Emailed multiple times and now they're not replying! Steer clear!

Maybe I'm writing this prematurely

Maybe I'm writing this prematurely. I was quoted £100 for my phone. I sent it to them on Thursday, they received it on Friday and on Monday they re-value it at £20. The phone is in very good condition, but they cite that it has screen burn (which I understand is easily reversible). I've now refused their re-valuation and I just hope it comes back to me quickly. I only went with these people because they are based in the same city as me.

DONT DISMISS THESE POOR REVIEWS

SELL YOUR PHONE ELSEWHERE.....

I didn't see these reviews until after I posted my phone.. "1st class, recorded delivery for £7.40 for to make sure it got there safely".

The sale value was quoted at £28 more than C.P warehouse so thought why not! Then I came across these reviews "only after I had posted"

The website gave me the impression I would receive money within a few days after phone has been received & checked.

I got confirmation phone had been received. It then took a full week for to get another email just confirming my phone is in working order and I will get a further email within 24hrs confirming how much they would pay.
That email never arrived! That's when I came across these reviews of non-payment, Initial values not given!
I decided to call RPC directly only to be be told "yeah yeah, not a problem let me speak with my manager. Oh, there's a problem with our accounts at the minute you'll have it by tomorrow"
Cutting a long story short, I eventually got my money 3 phone calls & a further 2weeks later - Not what was initially promised.

Take the values offered by alternative company's as its less stressfull. Especially for the sake of £28 which when minus postage is £20

I believe the key was to stay calm & polite on the phone as it scared me that If I went mad its then that maybe the phone develope's imaginary damage?

Absolutely useless company!

Not only did they take a whole week to process my order, not 2 days, they cut my Phone valuation from £223 to £111 because the screen was “damaged”, there was no damage to the screen at all!! AVOID!!

I’m only rating with 2 stars as I did…

I’m only rating with 2 stars as I did get my money eventually after my husband phoned and they magically put it through that day. I previously phoned a few times the first the guy checked my immaculate iPhone umming and ah-ing over it. But I started the process on the 8th of the month and finally received payment on the 25th I’m fully aware weekends don’t count but this was a poor service from start to finish I wouldn’t use again never had this much trouble. And wish I had read the reviews first.

SCAM OF A COMPANY!!!!

SCAM OF A COMPANY!!!

If I could give no stars I would!! Absolute rip offs, cannot believe they have an average review of three stars to be honest.
What they'll do is offer you an amount which seems pretty reasonable so you send your phone away and then they'll come back and make an absolutely rubbish offer saying that your phone has a number of issues. I know for a fact that my phone doesn't have any issues that are out with a two year old phone wear and tear so save yourself the bother and go elsewhere. Absolute scam of a company hoping that people just accept what they say because they can't be bothered with the hassle.

DONT USE THIS COMPANY

DONT USE THIS COMPANY......be aware was offered £70 less than quoted price, reasons for offering less was that there was a deep scratch on the screen of my phone on receipt and they would need to repair it. My phone was sent away without scratches and I disputed their claims. This resulted in me asking for my phone to be returned. Surprise surprise my phone has miraculously arrived back without the deep scratch as mentioned above.

Has taken nearly a month to get…

Has taken nearly a month to get payment. As expected they did not pay out the amount they stated originally. Noone answers the phone and takes weeks to respond to emails. Eventually spoke to someone yesterday and then magically payment was made. Would not use again.
