Buyer Beware!
RTICproducts.com is a complete scam. I was taken, but thankfully the USPS provided me with documentation of the delivery (which is against their policy)…without it PayPal would not have refunded my money. Following is how the scam works, which is similar to BuenaDeal.com (and if you compare the “about us” page from both sites, you’ll see the same photo). RTICproducts is so lazy they didn’t even change the Buena Deal name. First, they established a flashy website with prices too good to be true. The scammer will take your order and ship a package with a rock or other weighted item to a legitimate address within your city and zip, but far enough away that the residents likely won’t bring you the package…in my case, 3/4s of a mile. The cooler weighs 25 pounds but the package weighed 3. When you complain to PayPal that the package never arrived (I checked my security video to verify), they’ll explain that the seller provided confirmation that it was delivered (albeit to an unknown street address within the buyer’s zip code). Since USPS is not supposed to provide documentation on the exact address, the buyer cannot prove to PayPal that it was delivered to the wrong address (this policy must be changed). Even if the scammer gets away with the deception a few times a week, they make several hundred dollars with virtually no outlay of funds. I filed a complaint with the USPS Inspector, the FTC, the BBB, and two state attorney generals - this is both mail and computer fraud.
