Beware: Dishonest Seller - Accidented Vehicle Sold as 3.5 Grade

I recently imported a car from RU-Japan, and I'm writing to warn others about the deceitful practices of the seller. When I purchased the vehicle, I was assured it was in 3.5 grade condition, as stated on the auction sheet. However, upon arrival, I discovered the car had been involved in an accident, which was not disclosed or reflected in the provided documentation.

To make matters worse, the seller did not provide any photos of the vehicle prior to shipping, despite my request. I have since had to replace the entire boot of the car, incurring significant costs.

I tried contacting them via email, and they said they'd review the matter, but it's been over 3 weeks with no response.

I strongly advise potential buyers to exercise extreme caution when dealing with this seller. Ensure you request detailed photos and thoroughly inspect the auction sheet and documentation before making a purchase.

I had a very good experience importing a car from RU Japan the customer representative I got was Vekram he searched tirelessly to find the right unit for me with also giving me great insight into makes and models that were good sellers in Ireland. I would highly recommend Vekram and he’s team as they are also very professional and efficient with all the paperwork needed for importing vehicles which is especially difficult with the Irish rules and regulations in regards to registering the vehicle.

Muhammad Yasir from RU Japan initally contacted me via an Autotrader ad I'd posted when I was selling a previous car. Sometime later I became interested in importing a car from Japan so - after doing as much research as I could to ensure that they were a legitimate company - I contacted him to see what he could do.

I gave him the specification of the car I wanted and his colleagues looked for something suitable in Japanese auctions. This part of the process can be a little slow and frustrating, as there is no guarantee that you will win the car you bid on. It did actually take a couple of months to secure a vehicle. If you're not patient you could easily get desperate, as they have your money so there's not a lot you can do if you want a car quickly except to buy what they recommend. I was happy to wait a little longer to find the right vehicle. There is the option to buy a vehicle from their stock or have them buy from a dealer if you want to secure a car immediately.

Once the car was purchased the process of shipping was handled smoothly and professionally.

I would give 5 stars, but there was the issue of them hassling me constantly even when I told them I was busy and would respond when I could. I found this really irritating, but you might not.

All in all I found the experience good and would definitely use them again.
