Very slow delivery - but gate was very good
Updated review following resolution with company and fitting gate: The gate was of good quality and fitted well. The missing item in the delivery was refunded - and the shipping fee was also refunded as an apology for the slow delivery. Review has therefore been changed from 1 star to 3 stars.
Very slow delivery. Took almost two weeks to deliver from the time we were originally told the gate had been dispatched (when in fact it hadn’t been sent out). And when it was eventually delivered (today) part of the order was missing. This has now been taken up with Ruby customer services for hopeful resolution.

Ruby have a very good product range which can be tailored to fit your requirement. I ordered a Pergola, was kept well informed throughout their production process and received a kit of high quality. At writing I am yet to build but they provide a good build guide.

Quick delivery
I ordered on a Sunday and received my timber on a Thursday.
The delivery page on the Ruby website says "We deliver nationwide, for a small fee of £35 on all orders." but the delivery fee for the 6x1 larch boards is actually £75 and I'm not in one of the "remote" postcodes. When I ordered I got an email that said "You will receive a notification 24 hours in advance of the scheduled delivery." I didn't receive any notifications. Luckily we were here when it turned up! The delivery guys were really nice and friendly and happy to carry the timber down the side of the house for me which was much appreciated!
When we unwrapped the timber it was quite soggy in the middle which wasn't a surprise having read other reviews. One piece was damaged on one edge and a few boards are not flat. Luckily it's just for building raised beds so it's perfectly serviceable.

Everything happened when they said it…
Everything happened when they said it would happen. My contact with them was good and they got back to me when I needed a response. The product a pergola was in good shape and we put it togethor easy enough.
