After suffering from debilitating cramps due to endometriosis for much of my life, I have always tried any new menstrual products, especially ones that are good for the environment as no one needs eco-guilt when already battling a relentless internal war. I have tried other period pants and they were ok. But just ok. I found them stiff, cutting into the crotch area, and the materials weren't soft; they also give you a terrible VPL. Then I read about Ruby Cup because of their menstrual cups and excellent sustainable credentials and saw that they were now doing period underwear, so thought I'd give it a go. I am very glad I did. These pants are SO COMFORTABLE you want to wear them when you are not even on your period. They look really nice, they are softer than a summer breeze, and they just made me feel so secure. Comfortable, cost effective & good for the World
Ruby Cup is a lot softer and more comfortable- especially as a petite person - than the other cups i've tried. Easy to clean with their little pop-out microwaveable pot and donates a cup to people who can't afford them. I actually feel guilty whenever I forget it and have to use a sanitary towel/tampon now, knowing how much waste it saves going out into landfill. Quick delivery and very cheap - especially comparing to previous sanitary products adding up each month. Great company.

This brand is perfect for me
I tried a Lily Cup before, and although I really wanted to be able to use reusable period products, it was not comfortable. I had trouble inserting it and could feel it once it was in. With the Ruby Cup, I got it in first try every time, and although taking it out is a learning curve, I can't feel it once it's in and it sits perfectly. I did note that there is a tiny hole in the base of the cup into the stem, probably to help break the seal, but this does mean I won't be able to wear the cup without a panty liner (not that I would anyway). Super comfy and super easy to use. I do wish I had bought the sanitizer, though.

I am still getting leaks :(
I am still getting leaks, I thought with getting the proper sizing for my body I would have better success. However, I am still having the same struggles as I did with other menstrual cups. I will say the fact I have the option to get it in black is worth it.

I've been using a cup for a few years now, but I've read that Ruby Cup actually has a softer silicone, which my body kind of needed, so I bought it and tried it for the first time while I was on an active vacation recently, which included bike riding, moving a lot, swimming, traveling every day from one place to another, camping, hiking, I feel like I've tested it in every possible situation and it was amazing, I can't imagine going to anything else from this anymore. I purchased my ruby cup in April and wanted to experience it for a few months before I reviewed the product. The reasoning behind my purchase is that I am seeking more environmentally friendly products to reduce my personal waste and I had heard great things about these as a period product especially in terms of their longevity and ease of use. I want people to know that the first time you use this product, it will be a learning curve but don't let that put you off. I easily spent over an hour in the bathroom trying to get it in (attempting all the different folding techniques and learning how to properly insert) then another trying to get it out that first time (I know I'm not alone when I say that for a fair bit of time, I thought I'd lost it up there for good!). With practice though, it has become super easy to use and the fact that I only need to drain and re-insert a couple times a day makes it so much more convenient than the multiple times for pads and tampons in the past. Ever since I purchased this I have been recommending it to all the people I know that menstruate as I truly believe this is the most ideal period product one ever would need. The ruby cup is a brilliant first timer cup and the service they provide is amazing. I like that my purchase paid for someone else to experience their greatness too. Once you start using your Ruby cup, you won't look back - highly recommend!
