Do not waste your money on Runaway The Label. I am currently in a major dispute with their management (Lucy and Mia) over a large order of shorts one of which is "Lazure " that is objectively misdescribed.
Their online Size Guide states a Medium is 100cm. The garment I received measures 115cm (57.5cm half-chest). That is a 15cm (15%) discrepancy—the equivalent of three to four full sizes. When confronted with photographic evidence of the tape measure, their "Customer Care" team doubled down, claiming that because it’s a "relaxed fit," a 15cm variance from their own chart is intentional and "matches their internal files."
This is a deceptive and misleading trade practice. They lure you in with a Size Guide that doesn’t reflect the actual product, then trap you with an unlawful "Final Sale" policy to deny a refund.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS: Under the Australian Consumer Law (Section 56), a product MUST match its description. A "Final Sale" sticker does not override your statutory right to a refund for misdescribed or faulty goods.
I have now:
Lodged a formal complaint with NSW Fair Trading.
Initiated a transaction dispute with my bank for "Goods Not As Described."
Reported their "Final Sale" and sizing practices to the ACCC.
TO OTHER SHOPPERS: If you have been scammed by their "Store Credit" loop or inaccurate sizing, do not just accept it. Lodge a formal complaint with Fair Trading and the ACCC immediately. They rely on customers not knowing the law to keep your hard-earned money.
Runaway The Label: I have provided the evidence to the authorities. See you in the investigation. To think you could have avoided all this by working this out directly! Big Mistake, HUGE!

The quality is appalling. I’ve returned two bridesmaids dress because they were see through and looked incredibly cheap. I received a gift voucher even though I asked for a refund. I used the voucher recently to purchase two dresses and a top. A total of $320 the top was discounted the dresses were full price. I’m a standard size 8 and the fit and quality of all three garments is terrible. Both dresses are see through, the pictures on the website make them look great quality and not see through but in real life they look like temu. I was excited to wear them on my holiday but after receiving them I’d be embarrassed to wear any of them as the quality is very poor.

Ive only discovered this company and they have the most amazing pieces. I contacted them for a urgent last minute delivery for my birthday outfit and they were so accommodating with quick responses and alternatives to make my outfit arrive on time, ive never had a company go so above and beyond for me. They have truely gained a forever customer highly recommend shopping there!

Made a large order during the sale period for my partner. Realised I ordered the wrong size pants and emailed customer service right away before dispatch to change the size. Was told they can’t do that. Had to wait till they arrived, purchase a return label to return them for a credit note and by the time that happened the pants went up back to full price an extra $50 each. Very disappointing experience.

I had such an amazing experience with Runaway The Label. Mia was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. She took the time to send me the exact measurements for each dress so I could make sure the sizing was right for my bridesmaids, which I really appreciated. She also helped arrange shipping from Australia to the US and made the whole process so easy. Her responses were always quick and she answered every question I had. The customer service was truly amazing and made the experience completely stress free. I can’t thank Mia enough for all her help and making this such a positive experience!

UPDATE: I have emailed the exact email address 9 times with no resolution. The dress is still with you and my follow-ups have gone unanswered.
After nine unanswered emails, it feels as though the expectation is that customers will simply give up rather than receive a resolution. My order number is 635649. Please provide a clear update and resolution timeframe as a matter of urgency.
I sent my dress to Runaway The Label on 14 January. Since then, I have received no resolution and no response to my emails despite multiple follow-ups and complying with their requests to resend previous correspondence. My dress is still with them, and I have no idea what is happening.
Lucy is ignoring all my emails. Meanwhile, I see that Mia is responding to other customer reviews, yet has decided not to respond to mine.
I am simply asking for confirmation that my emails have been received and for a clear resolution regarding my dress, not too much to ask.
I also wonder if Brett Robbins, who appears to be heading up the company, is aware of this ongoing lack of communication and the treatment of customers like myself.
Honestly, I have serious doubts about the legitimacy of the positive reviews on here. This is not how most customers are treated.
Runaway The Label: fix your service, fix your communication, and take responsibility. This treatment is completely unacceptable.

I absolutley love this brands dresses they are so pretty. I have purchased dresses several times. Unfortunately my last experience was less than satisfactory and I will not be purchasing from this company again. The dress I purchased was stunning but after 1, 4 hr wear to a sit down wedding the frill hem detached in multiple places and it can not be worn again. I reached out to Mia from runaway who forwarded a generic response saying they don’t return a worn dress at all, even though it was faulty. . I had the dress a total of 5 days. Firstly I paid for express post but it did not arrive in an express time. I had to chase it up after 3rd day and then in was posted. I received it 5 days after paying for express post. I really would have loved to continue purchasing their stunning dress but at $159 for 1 wear before falling apart, unfortunately I can’t justify this. They do not allow you to leave reviews on their website for the dresses, maybe this is why. Some of the same dresses are also on shein with the same model wearing them for $27. All it would have taken was a phone call to try and work something out and just listen to your loyal customers. It’s a real shame Mia you could not just do the right thing and replace this beautiful dress. 🩶

The quality, fit and style exceeded my expectations, and I felt incredible in all of them. On top of that, their customer service was next level. Mia contact me and refunded me a dress and I still received it as a little random surprise!

My dress arrived reeking (like fish???) straight out of the package, was horribly ill-fitting, and the quality is cheap and completely unacceptable.
It has a massive slit straight up the middle that exposes your underwear. something that was never advertised, shown, or disclosed. The product looks nothing like the listing and is entirely unwearable.
The company will only offer store credit instead of a refund, which blatantly violates Australian Consumer Law. After I quoted the specific sections being breached in writing, I received no further communication.
This item is not fit for purpose and is a clear case of misrepresentation. You’re paying premium prices for Shein-level quality. So so disappointing, very glad I brought a backup dress.
