I’m incredibly disappointed that Apple allows them to be a part of the Apple Store considering that it is only one star reviews on the trust pilot and on the Apple Store I only see one star reviews but it has a review score of 4.4 I know it’s a scam. The videos are not animated the videos do not have audio. The videos are terrible and you can use pika or Sora 2 for a much cheaper and get better videos and I assumed that because this was an app that it would be the same it is not half the time the AI bot does not understand your prompts and does not create separate videos that are correct I was so disappointed and I tried to get a refund within 24 hours and I got nothing absolutely nothing it is a scam. These people are a scam and I will make sure that everyone knows it with all the energy I have until I either get my money back to get them off the Apple Store terrible

Absolutely the worst AI service I’ve ever touched. Total scam vibes from start to finish. It forces you to buy credits and then deliberately spits out nonsense videos that have nothing to do with your prompt. Zero quality, zero logic, zero customer respect. I wasted hours and money for absolutely nothing. No refunds, no accountability, no explanation. Just a black hole of frustration. If this company survives another year, it’ll be a miracle, because nobody sane would keep paying for this garbage. I’m writing it only because they wasted so much of my time I feel morally obligated to warn other people. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy setting your money on fire

It’s a rip-off. On the top of the annual subscription you have to pay a lot of money in credits if you want to create something decent.

Its a piece of shit! Crap Ai and very dumb. He misspelled 80% of the words. I keep starting all over again to do the video because of the wrong spelling.
Every time you re- do and correct it its another spelling error. Your credits are gone.

there are ridiculous restrictions put on the content. i tried to make a short video for an email, it cost $25. it wasn't what i wanted. each time i wanted to edit the video, because it wasn't what i wanted, it took more credits. SCAM

I had a very disappointing experience with Runway.
Most of my generations failed due to system issues and produced unusable results. When I reached out to support, they refused to acknowledge the problem and stopped responding entirely.

For such a high-priced service, this level of support is unacceptable.
Users should know that the tool often fails and the support team ignores legitimate issues.

I do not recommend Runway based on my experience.

Seriously? How the heck can you exist? When trying out your software, every time I try to generate an image to video, I am told to come back later, or, that I have violted a rule, strange, when my text is straight forward and inoffensive!?! Well, let me tell you! There are better solutions out there and I tried them. So you can keep your rubbish and poke it where AI can't reach!

Runway is a waste of money. Its video generation quality doesn't surpass competitors, and the pricing is ridiculous. Terrible experience.

If I could give ZERO I would. Complete rubbish. Throws up bugs and user errors non-stop - churns through credits without giving you anything useful. A complete waste of money. Avoid.

I spent 35 euros to animate a picture, but they did everything except what I requested. They just did random things. They don’t care about the prompts. Money to the trash

They are literally stealing your money. I want a month of subscription I selected it and right before payment they switch it to an annual one. with the start which is already very expensive for what you pay you get 2! 8 seconds videos per month they are thieves

Pretty disappointed. I upgraded to a paid plan. In the chat asked for one my my image to be animated. The result was a fuzzy video that wasn't reflective of my prompt. I thought, ok, this will take a bit of back a forth. But nope- that one 5 second video used ALL of my monthly credits and I would need to buy more. Unusable, unless you want to throw away hundreds of dollars, to maybeee get an ok few second clip?

I just tried "create a photo of an airplane landing on a female runway. Be subtle and abstract". and received a TOS Strike! Apparently Runway is Anti-women, yet they have women on their website marketing!! Useless.

Video alone took away like 300plus credits for a useless 5sec video. The AI image generation sometimes so stupid and it gives you the same image back of what you did... even when its their mistake, the credits wont be reimbursed back to you. USELESS

I started generating in the free space. It prompted me to sign up if I wanted to complete my video. In the free version it was easy to use. I bought the pro package for $100 a month. It could not generate text spelled properly even in their creative chat, even if I used credits. I tried to cancel after hours of wasted time trying to work out hallucinations.I then found out I would lose the $100 even though they can't deliver a clean product in ap. I do not recommend!

Title: Misleading subscription — credits disappear shockingly fast

I paid $100 for a full-year subscription expecting a useful AI video tool with reasonable output. Instead, I got a small credit pool that vanished almost instantly. I made a single 6-second test video and watched my credits drop like I had produced a feature film.

Runway markets itself like a tool for creators, but the credit system makes it practically unusable unless you keep paying. Their own documentation shows each second burns credits (Gen-4 can cost 12 credits per second), and even the yearly plan gives barely enough credits for a few short clips.

Once you hit the credit wall, the app prompts you to buy more. So the $100 “subscription” feels like a paywall disguised as a premium plan. It’s essentially a microtransaction system wrapped in a yearly price tag.

If you are a serious content creator or need more than one tiny clip a month, this is absolutely not worth it. There are cheaper and more transparent tools available that don’t drain your wallet for a few seconds of video.

Verdict: Save your money.

Honestly, I’m really disappointed with Runway. The platform is full of bugs, renders often fail, and customer support takes forever to respond. They charge premium prices, but the performance doesn’t come close to what they promise. I’ve tried many AI tools, and this has been one of the worst experiences so far. I wouldn’t recommend it until they seriously fix stability and support issues.

Awful service, poor customer support, and misleading pricing.

The so-called Unlimited package is far from unlimited; you still need to use credits to generate videos at an acceptable quality level. Their own models produce extremely poor results, and when you realise this and request a refund, support simply goes silent.

It cost me $95 just to learn that I paid for a service that doesn’t deliver what it promises.

total waste of time and scam. over promise in their ads and pay for influencers to generate fake results but when you use the site all they do is suck credits and give you very poor unusable videos.
