I needed to open an NRE a.c with ICICI bank India and was suggested to use the Rupeeflo App for passport and diving license online notarization as I didn't wanted to take time off work to visit the embassy. However this proved to be a fatal mistake. I uploaded the documents on Rupeeflo and got an online video appointment with the Notary. All went well and the notarized documents were uploaded on the App. I downloaded them printed and self attested and sent it to ICICI bank in India. To my surprise ICICI bank rejected the documents suggesting that the notarized documents were not original and were a copy. It beats logic as when you download from the app it is always going to be copy. Until Notarization was done the Rupeeflo customer support were very prompt and replied immediately to queries. Once I told them that ICICI has rejected the documents they stopped responding. It is over a month now since I attested the documents and I have to start from the beginning by going to the embassy for attestation. I understand they are a startup business but they should ensure that whatever they are committing to the customer and charging for it should be credible otherwise it looks like fraud.
