Poor design and unwealdy to use on extension

Recently purchased a ryobi extendable pole hedge trimmer, sadly I'm not overly impressed , the control switch is too far back for ease of use and the cutting head has a limited range of adjustment not ideal, further more when operating with the extension pole the machine is very nose heavy and unwealdy. I'll stick with it but won't be purchasing again sorry Ryobi but this is poorly designed.

Poor product and non-existent after sales service

I have a cordless saw bought directly from Ryobi via its website. It is well within warranty period and has had very little use but it is not working as it should. Contact was made with Ryobi on 06/06/25 explaining the issue. 16/06/25 an email from the "Ryobi After Sales Team" was received asking for the information already submitted with the website report.
No further contact has been made by Ryobi since despite me sending further emails asking for an update.
I will be contacting Trading Standards next. The Ryobi behaviour is not acceptable and very unprofessional.
[The TP review rating scale needs updating - zero stars is justifiable on many occasions]

Terrible customer service experience

Terrible customer service experience. I was recommended this brand for a certain power tool and have found them extremely difficult to connect with. Their website descriptions are inaccurate and trying to call their customer support is appauling.

RY18BI150B-0 Inverter

RY18BI150B-0 Inverter
The trouble with the Ryobi product description and videos is they do not tell you the most important thing. Is it a sine wave inverter output. The people that write this stuff are just off the street, they don't have a clue.

Misleading and Illegal

Misleading and Illegal: Ryobi advertising standards report. Their advert on the TV says you can buy a lawnmower and get FREE GRASS TRIMMER. Lawnmower on website is £178. But no free grass trimmer. Or you can pay £220 for the same lawnmower and they give you a free grass trimmer. So the free grass trimmer will cost you £42. Beware scam.

Rubbish customer service

Ordered a lawn mower and strimmer. After a week contacted Ryobi because hadn't received it. Apparently was lost in transit so they said they'd send out another. Almost two weeks later contacted Ryobi again only to be told it was out of stock. Basically they'd decided to keep my money and leave me hanging. Really rubbish customer service.

I now have several Ryobi tools

I now have several Ryobi tools in my kit. Absolutely love them. Not had a single problem with any of them at all. Possibly a little expensive but well worth it

Poor product, worse customer service

My strong advice is not to buy ANYTHING from Ryobi. I bought a power drill for over £120 which I would estimate I used for no more than an hour's running time before the hammer action broke. I live in London and the nearest service centre is 61 miles away. I called Ryobi for advice, spoke to a technician whose official advice was to buy a new one – not worth repairing. £120 for an hour's drilling – not such good value. As we are trying to create a 'repair' culture this is pretty shoddy.
