Purchased 2 paintings that were described as ready to hang. This was completely false. The only way to hang them is to have them framed! $400 I wasn’t planning on spending. Truthful descriptions would be appreciated

I have purchased several paintings from…
I have purchased several paintings from this gallery and all were "ready to hang" with the exception of one. Due to the unusual dimensions, I had to spend additional money on a custom frame. The painting cost $4425.64. Total cost came to $4545.04. I feel that sales would increase if all paintings being offered are "ready to hang". Other than that, customer service is always excellent and I plan to purchase more in the future.

Delivery stumbles
Miscoordination between saatchi and dhl fouled up the delivery. Shouldn't have happened as between two such sizable organizations.

The Art arrived damaged
The Art arrived damaged. We notified Saatchi and haven't heard back. Its been about 2 days since we sent the information. It would be nice to have received more than an auto reply by now.

Saatchi's customer support is terrible!
Saatchi's customer support is terrible! Some of my requests simply remained unanswered, and cancelling an order is an impossible task, even before the order is shipped. Artists do not receive proper guidance from them for shipping their artworks internationally, frequently sufficient copies of the commercial invoice are missing, and it's a pain to get in touch with Saatchi to request a copy of the invoice. Packaging is sometimes inadequate, I've received a damaged artwork but managed to fix it myself, because I would simply not bother to contact their support, too much of a hassle. I will not do business with them again and will delete my account.

I purchased a painting through Saatchi Art and overall I'm happy with the purchase. The packaging was amazing — the artist secured it really well, so it arrived in perfect condition. It took about a week to reach me in Bulgaria from Greece; I think the artist couldn't ship it immediately, which I'd say is normal enough.
One small thing: the painting is a little darker in person than I imagined from the photos. It seems to need good lighting to come alive — under a spotlight it looks just like the listing images, but in normal household light it reads darker. Something to keep in mind when you pick a spot for it.
All in all, a good experience and a piece I'm glad to own.
