As an Electronics Engineering Technologist, Rob Metzinger – SLT’s President and Founder – became extremely concerned about the interference of man-made electromagnetic fields (EMF) on the human body. Unfortunately I did not have a good buying experience. The meter that I purchased had been tampered with, or used and arrived with a broken package seal which was resealed with another seal. Extremely disappointed since the process to ship and return a used product cost me $37.71.
Update: Tony at SLT extended a bribe: “I would like to refund the shipping fee. If you are willing to update your review on Trust Pilot as resolved and update your review to a 4 star or better.”
Me: I don’t need the money back. I think it’s important that purchasers understand they are purchasing from a ‘reseller’ and that the product will not be shipped as ‘new’. Thank you for your attempt to raise the star rating.

Hi Linda, in these situations where a customer is purchasing a product that SLT is a RESELLER, we need to test the product for quality assurance before it goes out. So we need to open the original packaging, test the product and ship it out to customers. The product is not used, it has been tested to assure quality control. Hope this helps you understand our process!

HI Linda, our policy for returns that are unjustified is that the customer pays for the return. We test all our meters before we send them out to customers so they are 100% operational. The issue here is you feel you received a used meter and you were told it was a new meter that was tested. We have since added more information to our website to make sure our customers are aware that their new meter will be tested before being shipped. We wanted to make your experience better by offering you a refund for the return shipping unfortunately you declined our offer to make things right!
