Id not heard of Salt Dog before
A friend mentioned them when i messaged her about some Lake shoes

good stock & price and a great service
defiantly recommend them & use them again

Have purchased from Richard at Salt Dog a few times now so called for some advice. As usual Richard had the time to explain my questions to the full. I purchased a pair of Lake CX146 Wide Fit boots. The boots arrived well packaged and the boots are excellent.

Definite a company worth buying from for 3 reasons:-
1 Great range of footwear
2 Superb delivery service
3 Extensive knowledege of the products and if you are unsure in anyway about your sizing it is well worth discussing with the Company as they can help you evaluate the right option.
I found them better than Lake Shoes and competitive. 5 star from me

I ordered the wrong size shoes and eMailed Salt Dog to sort out a return. Richard called me and went through correct measuring, staying on the 'phone to make sure I was happy with the new measurements. He also suggested some other shoes that would suit my feet better. I sent the old ones back for a refund and ordered the new shoes. They fit like a glove. Proper old fashioned excellent customer service!

Absolutely superb,1.5 hours to shop so had to do by phone, wasn’t sure what size lake winter boot I’d need, lake say …1 to 1.5 sizes bigger which I thought was a lot, I’m a 44.5 carbon lake wide shoe normally, I was advised by shop to have a 45, and was also given a tip on how to un clip the boa on winter boot for easy fitting, boots are absolutely spot on , great exsperience and £25 cheaper than lake direct. Fantastic buying experience which began with a call to the shop - answered promptly (no hold music) by a human being!
I wasn’t 100% sure about fit in the model I was buying but I was given expert advice as to the most appropriate size and width to choose.
Speedy dispatch and delivery followed.
All finished off with shoes that fit perfectly.
Why can’t more retail interactions be like this?

My previous cycling shoes finally gave up the ghost and the nightmare task of finding a new pair to fit my Hobbit feet began. Tried a couple of so called wide fit shoes with no success and then came across Salt Dog.

I originally ordered a pair of MX239 but found them tight on one foot, I emailed salt dog and received a phone call from Richard who listened to my particular issue and advised to use his online measurement tool and advised the MX242 as a more suitable shoe.

Having followed Richard’s advice I am now the happy owner of a pair of MX242 which addressed my issue.

I would definitely recommend calling Richard for advice if new to Lake shoes as I was, as his advice was invaluable, rather than doing what I did which was to ignore the advice to call if unsure on fitment on his website. (Typical stubborn male I suppose).

Spare heel pads delivered quickly. Not yet fitted as bought to have in the spare s box ready for when the current ones wear out, but look the same shape so anticipate no issues

Good price and fast delivery

I was trying to source a particular Lake shoe, Narrow fittings rarely on offer. Salt Dog were the cheapest and having bought from them before I knew they were good. I already had a Black shoe so went for the white shoe (same model). Richard contacted me regarding size and I told him I was a 42 in the same model shoe in Black. But little did I realise the white shoe is a microplastic shoe unlike the Kangaroo leather Black shoe, the shoe composition makes a difference in fit. I swapped the white shoe for the black/white which is Kangaroo leather. Whatever store would have gone to this much trouble, thank you Richard for your excellent knowledge and Customer Service.
