We had a leaking toilet pipe and a young plumber called Alfie came to repair it. Parts in van didn't fit, so being our only toilet, he went and bought parts and because of the age of our house, he had to make a pipe to fit! He was very polite, friendly and cleaned up after himself. Excellent job.
Sink filled with standing water. Same Day Property Services called in the afternoon and said someone would be out that evening. They called back and plumber (Alfie) arrived within 2 hours. Wet vacuum used and problem fixed quickly. Expensive, but 10% discount for pensioners.
Emergency plumber out on 20th October and charged £290 for half an hour. Did not have the parts to solve problem, so just turned water off. Follow up appointment booked with him for first call on 25th October, but on 25th told me I must wait until the afternoon as plumber was ill. At 3pm same plumber arrived and denied being ill earlier. Charged further £246.
On October 27th same problem occurred and plumber booked for 29th. On 29th, told plumber was again ill so rebooked for 30th.
Plumbers were polite but Jo in office was rude, dismissive and unhelpful.
