In response to the company "reassuring" me they are not based in the Netherlands, their contact address and phone number are in the Netherlands. I was misled.

This company portrays itself as a Western supplier out of the Netherlands, but in fact has no effective system for returns - the cost was ridiculous and my return has now been stuck in China customs for weeks. Their customer service people keep saying they understand my frustration! I am about to make consumer complaints in the Netherlands and Australia. Lesson learned, never again!

Sandstone Boutique - Low quality - return policy a lie.

I have acknowledged your reply.

I have sent the tracking number several times to both Kane and Sarah.
It has been months of waiting and emails. Australia Post has informed me that the package was delivered to it's final destination and 1 email from your customer support informed me it had arrived but then then the next email's stated it has not arrived. This has been back and forth for months now.
This is not acceptable.
When we purchase you state easy refund policy but this is not the case.

Sandstone Boutique - I purchased 2 pairs of shoes. I 1st contacted the customer support team a number of times to ask about 1. Quality 2. Shipping 3. Return policies. Both Jane and Sarah were prompt with their replies. Once the shoes (not cheap) arrived after 5 weeks the quality was disgraceful. I asked to send me the return address, instead they kept offering me deals to keep the shoes after several emails back and forth they agreed and sent me the return address stating my money would be returned in full. It has now been nearly 3 months (in total) and approximately 16+ emails latter. I was informed on the 18th Feb (by sandstone), they cleared customs, picked up by the courier and on the way to their warehouse. I checked with Australia Post who informed me they had already been received by the final destination. Now sandstone boutique are saying the shoes are being held up in customs 🤔 WT.. (China) hoping I will give up and they can keep my $150 AUD. For me, it is of course the money, but, also principle. Please do not buy these shoes, they are cheap, low grade quality and their return policy is a LIE. Shoes like they are selling can be purchased from temu or shien for $10 AUD or less. Please believe me DO NOT PURCHASE THIS RUBBISH. They seriously are a scam. The reviews that are positive are obviously people with a very different view than me on quality or being paid to put up a positive review. The only positive is they do reply to my emails, not truthfully but they do reply. 🥱😱🙏🏻

A company that is best avoided

A company that is best avoided. I received a pair of sandals which looked like only very distant cousins to the item pictured for sale on the Sandstone Boutique website (cheap, plasticky cousins) and was told that because the shoes were still functional (they were still shoes, even if they didn't look like the pictures), I wasn't eligible for a refund. The customer service resolution was quick (as though there was a template for complaints ready to go) but wildly unsatisfactory. I would avoid this company like the plague. There's no way they could operate in Australia (as the website suggests) with business practices like this. Drop kicks who drop ship.

Dreadful return service. Stay away

I purchased 2 items A pair of thongs and a blouse.
The thongs were true to size and passable.
The blouse was not as described. It is made of a horrible hot fabric and a very small make. It does not flow in the sleeves as pictured and described. Horrible blouse.
30 return policy. To return to ? Not sure yet. They wish to give me 30% refund for a horrible blouse I will not wear. It looks super cheap. Think a bad TEMu or SHEIN I would stay away from this store. I have learned my lesson.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. If I could leave less than one star, I would. I was completely scammed after choosing a $70 blouse with beautiful seams, detail and flowy material, I was sent what looked like a hospital scrub, a total joke. I actually burst out laughing when i opened out, I was so surprised. Customer Service responded they could give me a "one-off 30% refund" but only if I accepted immediately. Still waiting for that.
