Do not buy there

After a positive experience with Santoku.co.uk, I ordered a second knife on January 8, 2025. Initially, the delivery went well, until the delivery got “lost” somewhere along the way.

After sending many emails back and forth, I was offered either a refund or the option that they would send a new knife. Because my first experience was positive and the email exchange professional, I decided to get a new knife.

This is when the problems started. Despite sending several emails, Santoku.co.uk no longer responded.

This changed (briefly) when I placed a 1 star review on Trustpilot. With multiple apologies and excuses, I was assured that my order was on its way and I received the tracking code as confirmation.

And what turned out (surprise !!): the order had already “Arrived at facility” a day earlier. Which “facility” and where this “facility” would be, was not mentioned.

But imagine my surprise when, after a few days, I see
that the date of “Arrived at facility” had suddenly been increased by three days!!

What??!! Is this tracking even real??!! I am starting to strongly suspect that it is not. Especially since the date “arrived at facility” has not been adjusted since then.

If Santoku.co.uk had had a professional Customer Service department, you would expect, especially after a customer has given a 1 star review, that someone at Customer Service would give this customer and his order extra attention to make sure that this time it would go well.

Not so. None of that. Absolutely nothing. And since the first review on Trustpilot I have not heard from Santoku.co.uk. anymore.

So my advice is clear: do not buy from Santoku.co.uk.
