Saris and Things in Plainfield, IL gave me one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in a retail shopping experience. Nowadays many people want the quick and dirty and cheaper method of going through Amazon. But I think many people recognize there is no customer service, there is no human connection, and that is purely a transaction. When you go in person for retail shopping, you get a combination of reassurance of quality, proper fitting, and advice/help on picking the best outfit for the occasion. I got all of that in spades at Saris and Things. As you can imagine I was looking for the right outfit for an Indian wedding and I had limited knowledge on what to buy. They have a website option but I was not sure about the sizing of everything. Not only did they help me mix and match sizes, they made sure I felt comfortable finding the right color combination for me after I told them I likely want something blue. They explained the differences to me and the woman I worked with was extremely nice and thoughtful in her recommendations on how I should put the outfit together. I failed to rent saris earlier and was desperately calling places and Saris and Things came to me rescue. The saris were the most beautiful gowns I've ever worn, and I was given such care and attention from the staff member despite my last minute request. I found the rental to be very reasonably priced and very easy to return. This was set to be a failure until I called Saris and Things and will definitely be returning!

I was thrilled with my rentals from Saris and Things! Aisha helpfully answered all of my questions regarding appropriate wedding attire and sent photos of multiple lehenga options before I placed my order. She included multiple sizes and colors for the top with my order, which was much appreciated! I used the same day shipping option within Chicago, and the process was efficient and the quality was excellent. I got compliments all night long, and I would absolutely use Saris and Things again!

I rented 2 saris for a wedding. They spoke with me several times on the phone to verify style and size, and sent me extra blouses of different sizes in order to make sure the fit was acceptable. This was completed well in advance so that I could re-order if necessary. I did not order jewelry but earrings and necklace were added by the shop and greatly complemented my saris. Next time I will rent jewelry as well!

Neeru was absolutely PHENOMENAL to work with. I came in for an appointment and needed help selecting a saree and jewelry as well as getting dressed so I could go to a Nalangu Celebration later that day. Not only did the ladies pick out a saree that complimented me beautifully but they had me dressed and on my way in no time. The care and attention they gave me was unforgettable and I am so so happy that I went to Saris and Things for my event. Thank you so much for the beautiful attire and the peace of mind.

I ordered a sari with 3/4 sleeves for a wedding I was attending. The shipping was prompt but sadly they substituted a completely different color top with short sleeves and never notified me. I did inquire about this and they repeatedly told me they didn't actually have that top in the photo and that she thought the gold shorter top looked better. I advised them I specifically looked for a top with sleeves because I am often cold and of course I was freezing at the reception. They had no solution but to advise me again that I could wrap my sari around to keep myself warm. Really?! Also, I did originally want to add jewelry rental but couldn't find that on the website. Later, they repeatedly called and emailed me to ask if I still wanted to rent jewelry after I already said no once. At least 3 calls about jewelry but none about the replacement top?

I am going to an Indian wedding so i need something to wear. I want to stick with their customs. I was on the phone with this company for an extended period of time. They took their time with me and walked me through everything. Gave me their recommendations and actually, each recommendation was spot on perfect for me.

I absolutely LOVED my experience with Saris and Things. I wasn't sure exactly what to purchase, and the owner could not have been more helpful. She assisted me in selecting the item that fit like a dream! I had so many compliments and people saying they would've given anything to have rented something so beautiful, versus selecting an ill-fitting sari on Amazon. I would recommend them 100 times over!

This was one of the best experiences, I had never rented an item of clothing so I was a little hesitant. Even more stressfull I had no idea about Sari’s. Renting in the site was easy the Sari came in a pretty plastic garment bag perfectly wrapped and not wrinkled. It was a simple drop into suitcase, take it out and put it on with the help of the brides aunties. The color and quality of the piece was outstanding. I wiould and have recommended Sari’s and things!!!
