Graceful interaction

Spoke to the owner via phone call and she is very kind and thoughtful. I had an issue about a dress I purchased from her on eBay that I returned and I thought I was being scammed since I didn’t get a refund. But that was not the case at all. I learned that EBay has very strict rules on how items can be returned; therefore, I was not able to get a refund via EBAY. When I called the owner directly she gracefully heard me out and we were able to sort things out. I look forward to shopping in person at the store the next time I’m in England!

Poor quality and poor service

I have been deeply disappointed with the quality of a dress I bought from this company through Silk Fred. I wore it for 2 hours on Christmas Day, including a short walk along roads. The jersey of the dress is rubbed and severely damaged under the breast. I returned it explaining that clearly there is a quality problem with the fabric, but have been refused a refund. The note I received said that they believe I sat on something sharp. Funny when the rubbing is under the breast.

Quite clearly when an expensive dress is worn for 2 hours one should not expect it to be so damaged it is unwearable.

I wanted to warn others of the quality of the item and also the poor response in customer service I had.

The owners response says the damage is at the back - it is most certainly not. It was at the front under the breast. I find this owners response appalling which is why I chose to leave this review. And of course I cut the ribbon - I fully planned on keeping the dress, but was devastated by the appalling g quality of it

We're sorry that you were disappointed with the dress and it didn't meet your expectations. We always aim to deliver a great quality product and customer service.

However, our bespoke occasion wear dresses are not designed for hikes or any outdoor physical activity. The damage is severely bad on the dress that we cannot accept your return because it is clear that your own responsibility caused the damage.

We have never previously had any issues with this fabric, and the dress has been one of our best selling pieces from day one.

Moreover, you had cut the return ribbon from the label (we have this on every single product, stating that the customer should not cut the ribbon unless they decide to keep the product). Thus, the quality cannot have been impaired when you decided to cut the ribbon from the dress.

It's clear that the dress's damage results from yourself as the damage is on the lower back of the dress and not under the arm. We believe it is due to the physical activities you chose to partake in whilst wearing the dress; therefore, we cannot accept your return.

Besides, we notice that all the reviews you have left for other companies are one star! We kindly ask you to think twice before leaving a review for small businesses such as ours and leaving false feedback.
