Terrible service.

Was made homeless 3 months into my agreement. offered no help. This is not a priority bill but even being homeless i made an effort to try and pay it. Shambless of a company who are more bothered about making a quick quid that actually priding themselves on good customer service. Never, ever have a loan from these clowns. They ruin you. I complained nearly 8 weeks ago, every time i mailed them i had confirmation they had received my email, but magically when i call to get an update, they have never received anything. Joke of a company, staff are rude and actually need more than a 2 day course on how to do their job. another company where CEO is driving happily in his aston martin knowing other people are suffering becasue of this terrible company. Financial ombudsman will be informed within 5 days if i dont hear anything back from this awful tripe.

I filled in their application form for a very small loan. Answered all questions truthfully, included details of income. Was accepted in principal subject to my sending proof of income in an e-mail (a screenshot). Was declined an hour later. I am baffled as the proof I e-mailed them was exactly the figures I stated in the application form which they accepted in principal.
So this was a complete waste of time......AVOID.

Needed a short-term loan. Borrowed £1000 over 6 months. Knew I'd be paying it back in a few weeks. Have used other lenders before and interest charged daily.
So borrowed money on Sept 20th....Repaid in full on 8th October. Full repayment and early settlement figure was £1311.20!!
The interest of £311.20 for 18 Days!!!!
Absolute disgrace......RIPPED OFF!!!!!!!!!

My husband took out a loan 12months ago, paid off on Friday 28th September 2018. On Monday 1st October they the took an unauthorized amount of £99.60 and could not give reason for this, 1st person on the phone said it would be back in our account within 1-4 hours. Tuesday it still wasn't in so rang again to be told it had to be sent to another department to be checked this takes 48 hours once that's been done it would take 1-4hours to be returned. Rang again today Thursday 4th October as still not there to be told 48 hours to be checked and 1-4 DAYS to be returned. Completely unacceptable!!!! We have four children to feed and bills to pay

Disgusting service from Satsuma loans, after trying to update my payment details for 3 consecutive payments, each time the system said successfully updated, when next payment was due they was unable to take payment, which was frustrating in itself, but on the 4th payment i got a rude unhelpful man phone me at 8.30 in the morning stating my payment is late and how would i be paying! Obviously i explained about the problems id been having storing payment method, he was rude and unhelpful as though i was making excuses not to pay, i felt this very undermining, he then followed to say he will be marking my payment as late and this will show on my credit file! this was after 1 day of them not being able to take payment from a card which their system should have stored! i feel this is disgusting and totally unjust, this could now affect my credit in the future. Needless to say I paid my loan off in full and will never use this company again. i would like to warn others before taking a loan out with these people, as it could potentially seriously damage your credit score and they will happily do this for you without a second thought!

Absolutely disgraceful complaint handling - i received zero response to a complaint regarding irresponsible lending. And they have refused to provide the Financial Ombudsman with the details they need to progress my complaint!

They borrow to people without completing appropriate checks! They let me have two loans at the same time repaying them over £210 a month and not once was i asked for anything to prove income or expenses. Word taken on application and this is IRRESPONSIBLE LENDING

Poor customer service, another PDL only out for profits and in the process destroying peoples lives. Two loans authorised in a just over 30 days for the maximum allowed, 2k+ overdraft and 4 PDL in process, 2 defaults. Although this is supposedly responsible lending.

Preying on the vulnerable. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid.

Excellent company have had several loans with them all paid on time or paid off early easy to apply on app interest is shown clear as day.

The Interest rate is higher than most lenders if you cant afford it then dont borrow simple as that.

utterly let down. been a good customer for 10 months, never missed a payment, only 2 to go yet I am told I am not eligible for another loan

Not that I care as I can go elsewhere but I thought good customers would be more valued

**WARNING** This company will provide a loan without carrying out any physical identification checks. This means if somebody knows your basic details they can take out a loan in your name. This needs to be made public to raise awareness and prevent fraud.

Somebody today took out a loan in my wife's name and had the money transferred to their account.

Had several loans with Satsuma and always been a good customer but the last year or so has really gone down hill. Credit rating is better than ever, supply all the payslips they have begun to ask for and still get declined no matter of loan size or duration

Terrible company to deal with. Staff aren't very friendly and certainly won't be dealing with them in future. The interest rates are practically extortion!

Scam company. Don't do as they advertise. Takes 3 days to get back after having your wage slips (God knows what they do with them) and then they decline the application even though the wage slip has everything they asked for...go else where..safteynet credit are much better

Satsuma have declined rapidly since i first used them a few years ago.
Takes 3+ days for any sort of reply.
Submitting documents is just as slow if not worse.
Told you are approved and they change their decision or just leave you hanging.

If you are approved double check what that means from them as i wouldn't rely on what you are told.

Dreadful company take 2 days to view wage slips even though had loans before there are much better companies out there so shop around if you don’t want to be ripped of

This company are hillarious! You take out a small loan with them & then after a few months let you apply for a larger one. Ok fine. Apply online & get past the application but have to send copies of your payslip but .... A: one screenshot must be of the whole slip whether you can read it or not with all four corners showing -VERY IMPORTANT 😂 B: A screenshot of each part of the payslip so they can actually read it, that is IF THE EMAIL’S ACTUALLY GET TO THEM even though you get the auto response saying they have got it? Phoned ( 5 times in one day ) for an update j & got a load of rubbish each time and asked to speak to a manager. APARENTLY the team leader thats on is not allowed to speak to the customer & only to the staff to advise them how to do their jobs? Ohh and you must go through the complaints procedure which can take up to a maximum of 56 days before anyone gets back to you. I can truly say I have never experienced a company as shocking as this!

They don't let you repay early, you are stuck with paying the full amount with interest over months, even for a tiny little £100 loan. When I tried seeing if I could apply for a larger amount, it kept telling me that my bank account details were wrong, even though they were the details they'd used for the first loan, and I needed to change them, but there was no way to edit them! I'm glad now they blocked me, because I never want to use this company again. Wonga are so much better.

Been waiting 3 days not ten minutes as they state. Haven’t responded to my emails either. Very poor.

Avoid unless you like being ripped off.
Satsuma is the only payday loan company I know that charges all interest up front. They force you to take your loan over 3 months (even if you only want £100) but then offer you little or no saving if you pay it off early.
They ask you for a payslip after provisionally accepting you but then decline you. Not sure what they are expecting to see on your payslip since you've already told them how much you earn in the application...

I recommend using Track Loans (Street UK) as they are much fairer with interest (£300 over 3 months is £90 interest compared to Satsuma who charge £142).

Applied Saturday night. Was instantly approved. Didnt hear anything back until Tuesday evening where i had to send documents, fine. Send them off "get back within 24 hours" that's rubbish. Had to phone them up and then asked for more documents. So another 24 hours. Ring up again, and they saying I've got to wait up to 72 hours now to verify the documents. This 10 minute decision this is utter b******t. Unlikely to now be approved after waiting a week.
