Perfectly organized trip with a fantastic crew who are willing to go the extra mile to make it a great experience!

I wanted to book a trip to Central America, (I'm Hispanic). I was told it was a Dutch company and that I should speak Dutch to book the trip. I was interested because they take care of the flight and accommodations. But the woman was so castrating, that probably you should advertise in the site "White Dutch people only".
Replying to the extensive English explanation received on 30/01/2026:
I was told over the phone by the agent, that she shouldn't even speak English during the call, the call lasted 10 minutes because I was put on hold for the most part, I could barely say anything while being reiteratively appointed to the already explained. Anyway, I'm putting my +4k€ in a more friendly and open minded agency.

Overall Impression of the Trip

The trip included visits to several cities: Delhi, Jaipur, Ranthambore National Park, Agra, Lucknow, and Varanasi.
Sightseeing and excursions were generally enjoyable, many temples and mosques visited, with highlights such as the Amber Fort, Taj Mahal, and a boat ride on the Ganges. India really is a mix of chaos, noise, smells, impressive architecture and culture.
Some optional tours and activities were appreciated (e.g., "Jaipur by night"), while others (like the Culinary Walk in Lucknow) were disappointing or did not meet expectations.
There were repeated experiences of being pressured to buy products during visits to local corporations (carpet, fabric, jewelry, weaving, marble), which detracted from the enjoyment. After purchasing a ring at the jewlery corporation, I looked up the store and reviews online, quite some complaints about it beingba scam, so beware.

Hotel quality varied significantly:
The first hotel in Delhi was as terrible: unclean, with cockroaches, moisture, and no warm water.
In Jaipur, the hotel was cleaner and had warm water.
Ranthambore hotel was spacious, but air conditioning was problematic and warm water was inconsistent.
Agra hotel was small with dirty walls but had separate beds and warm water.
Varanasi hotel was clean, comfortable, and had good food and drinks.
The final hotel in Delhi was again disappointing, not really clean and with no warm water.

A recurring issue was having to share a bed with a stranger, despite complaints and requests for separate rooms.

The guide and drivers were attentive to safety and ensured food was safe for tourists.
The guide sometimes failed to resolve issues (e.g., bed sharing, snoring), despite promises.
Communication with the travel company (Sawadee) was not always effective—complaints were sometimes ignored or inadequately addressed.
Some excursions and services (like the safari pricing and the Culinary Walk) raised concerns about transparency and value for money.

The Sawadee program was brilliant and well thought out and planned.
Everything flowed efficiently and effortlessly together.

They are notorious for Changing hotels for lesser ones last notice. We had this on two trips with them.

This must be intentional since we booked 6 months ago and on last notice they changed three for lesser hotels. Seems like a scam to me.

Good experience

-The ratio of travelhours of the trip Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras was not in balance in what we saw. The condition of the roads left much to be desired, so we often arrived in the dark. If you have to move on to the next destination the next morning, you will have relatively little time to explore this place. We saw a lot, Guatamala in particular was beautiful, but it would benefit the trip if you got something out of the program.
-We would also have liked more information about the countries from the guide during the trip.
-The trip information on the website was not always correct, by example: 'the villages of the indigenous population'. It was a part of a town, not an idyllic scene. And 'wonderfully relaxing end to the beach'.
Playa del Carmen was not the place to be: a city full of advertisements and shouting catering staff. Most hotels own the beach, so you can't go there. Perhaps a reason to look for another last overnight stay.

Am afraid to say that during a night out at a lovely restaurant in Dunedin, New Zealand we witness a tour guide from Sawadee behaving atrociously.

I’m not one to seek out reviews but I believe that this women’s behaviour to her tour group and the restaurant staff deserves it.

Lucie from Sawadee and the other staff I hope your systems, procedures and expectations of entitlement are immediately reviewed.

The tour guide we had was exceptional. I shall mention just a few assets: despite her relative youth she was calm, responsible, resourceful, relaxed, extremely mature for her years and very approachable. Finally, her use of English is outstanding!

Through Meaw's guidance, Thailand transformed from a destination to an extraordinary journey filled with laughter, warmth, and shared moments. As we bid farewell to this beautiful country, our hearts are filled with appreciation for the memories Meaw helped create, turning a simple trip into an unforgettable adventure.

What an incredible journey! Mayan pyramids and palaces, boat tours to places not accessible by road, beautiful shades of green vegetation everywhere, and a reisbegeleider who can wear many different hats! A joyful group of people to travel with, what else could you possible wish for? I absolutely loved every minute of it this trip and am grateful I was able to have this experience. Five stars is an understatement, it should be 10!

Sawadee was a great holiday organisation. We had a local guide who also spoke Dutch and he knew a lot about the country and took good care of us. The trip was well organized, we had nice and clean hotels to stay at and great activities during the days. I would recommend Sawadee if you're looking for a well organized group holiday.

De sawadee reis door Mexico, Guatemala en Honduras is fantastisch. De reisleider Peter Paul had veel kennis van zowel de Mayawereld maar ook het hedendaagse Mexico. Organisatie door Sawadee was prima. Programma wellicht iets te vol maar dat kwam door de aangeboden extra’s.

Java - Bali - Lombok
That was the tour I did with Sawadee's clients.
Over all I like it so much, the programes that Sawadee made was very good, it was so complete tour, what does the tourist want about Indonesia is completely covered, amaging different cultures between Java Bali en Lombok, the beauty of nature, the food and stories.
I like it so much becouse with this tour the tourist could get anything about indonesia.
So in 21 days the tourist could enjoy the paradise in the eart.
Sawadee is very good Travel Agent, they arranged everything very well, the high light tourist object combine with the specific programe (bike tour, hiking, becak tour etc).

Wonderfool country, friendly people, beautiful landscape and great food

The highlights of this trip are: the 3-day 2-night stay on a boat in the Komodo National Park. Besides seeing the Varanus Komodoensis there are numerous snorkeling spots to explore the beauty of underwater world. The traditional villages of Bajawa are also very beautiful and the walks along the ricefields in the area of Tetebatu of Lombok are unforgetable.

The least interesting part of the trip is Sumbawa. But there are not so many choices. Somehow a tour group has to pass through this island.

If you are thinking of seeing the cultures and the people who practice them, if you are thinking of seeing Komodo, one of the seven wonders of the world, if you are thinking of discovering rich diversity of underwater world, if you are thinking of being in the middle stunning view of ricefields then think of this trip with sawadee... It is worth it!
