Before I met Carsten, I had two hair transplants that did not give me the results I wanted. My hair still looked thin. I also had a SMP treatment from another clinic, but it was poorly done and it looked unnatural. I was very unhappy and frustrated with it.

Carsten was the one who saved me from this. He advised me on how to fix/remove the old SMP and created a new one that looks amazing. He used his skill to blend the SMP with the transplanted hair and create a seamless and realistic appearance. He was very patient and attentive to my needs and expectations. I am very thankful to Carsten for his wonderful work. He has given me a new look and a new confidence :) I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a SMP treatment: he is the best in the business.

Normally I’m not the type of guy to give online reviews. But now after having made the decision to go to Carsten and get SMP done this is about to change, because without wanting to get too ahead of myself: my life has changed due to it, I’m not joking.

I’m 26 and started losing my hair a couple of years ago. After buzzing it all of, I saw some videos about SMP on YouTube and wanted to look for artists in Denmark. During this entire research process I wasn’t really sure, if it would be a good idea to get SMP. I’m saying this specifically because I think that there are many people out there who are unsure about or scared of the treatment themselves. I think it’s completely normal to be skeptical of it, but I hope that every person who reads this and feels the same way about it, as I did, still gives it ago, because I promise you: you will feel like you discovered the fountain of youth.

During my research I found Karsten. After seeing his before and after pictures I simply had to contact him, because his results looked exactly like what I was looking for. Karsten was so great from the get-go - he gave me an overview on what to expect and how the process would look like. After the initial consultation we scheduled the first session.

Fast forward to a couple of weeks later: I got my SMP done and honest to god, I can’t stop going to the bathroom and looking at it. It exceeded all my expectations and more. The only thing I regret about SMP is that I haven’t gotten it done sooner.

To anyone being unsure about SMP or if they should go to Carsten: go for it! He is a wizard. Before making a decision to go to Copenhagen I was comparing multiple artists in Germany and Denmark and I can confidently say that Carsten has got to be one of the best artists in Northern Europe. In addition to being insane in his work Carsten is simply a very fun and nice guy, with a great heart. A good example I can give here, is that after Carsten and I saw, that my skin is rather dry and the retention of the pigmentation wasn’t that good. Carsten simple said that we’ll have a fourth session for free, so we achieve the perfect result.

I can’t tell you guys how happy I am. Finally I’ll simply let the message speak for itself, that I did send to Carsten after my second session, because it conveys perfectly how I felt during the treatment:

Carsten & Scalp Innovation is truly life changing! I went to Carsten with alopecia, meaning I had a lot of patchy hair loss. Carsten was awesome at making me feel good about it and quickly found a solution. Not only is Carsten talented but he is also a great character and makes you feel very welcome and relaxed. I can say that Carsten is the best SMP technician in Denmark - even tho I had to travel from 400 km a couple of times to Copenhagen, it worth it!

I don't think I could recommend Carsten any higher if I tried. The experience was smooth from start to finish and Carsten was completely understanding of my needs the entire process. After searching online and trying to find a proper clinic and artist to help me create a natural looking and young hairline I decided to go with Carsten at Scalp Innovation.

Despite not knowing exactly what I wanted, I traveled from Sweden and consulted with Carsten. After my consultation I felt at ease and that this was the right move.

Carsten is an amazing and professional artist that takes his craft seriously and did an excellent job in recreating a vibrant natural looking hairline for me, man in my 20s.

I definitely recommend to visit him for a consultation if you are verging on the edge of SMP or not. He is 100% the man for the job!

I feel like 5 stars is way too little for the experience I had with Carsten and Scalp Innovation clinic. Being from Sweden, and living in Copenhagen, I was doing quite some research on where to do my SMP treatment, either in Malmö or Copenhagen. Having dealt with hair loss for quite a while and 2 previous failed FUE transplants, I couldnt afford to make a mistake with my SMP treatment. In the end, after hours of googling SMP clinics in the region, when looking at the price-quality ratio, and previous references and work done by Carsten and Scalp Innovation, with patients from all over the world, I have decided to go for him. Everything went so smooth and easy from the beginning, we discussed my treatment plan, the financing of my treatment, and he explained to me the entire process, patiently answering to zillions of questions I had.
We agreed that my treatment will be split in several sessions, and Carsten really did the utmost for me to feel comfortable during the entire period, while listening to all of my expectations for the treatment outcome. It is little to say that the outcome of the treatment has really changed my life (I suggested to him few times that his slogan should be LIFE CHANGER as that is what he truly is). I felt like I could for the first time in a long time go out and not worry about my FUE scars and my bald spots on my head, with the SMP results looking fully natural, and for that I am very thankful to him - I have my life back finally. He was also very helpful and understanding during my follow ups and few minor touch ups. Lastly, on top of all that, I am happy for meeting such a great person, who is a human and a friend, on top of being a great professional in his field, and therefore Id highly recommend anyone who is in doubt and struggling with a similar problem, to go for a consultation, and Carsten will take it from there :)
