Very painful and cruel experience

Feel really let down, Zara, our couples therapist advised us the first two sessions would be exploratory and then our main sessions would commence after. Our first two sessions were more than exploratory as she was kind enough to explore some realtime issues for us, however we were then offered dates and on asking a few more questions then dropped like a stone. She gave us some insights into our attachment styles which I have since explored but was keen to learn and progress more. I am left having spent £180 feeling incredibly upset and now blaming myself but no idea what for. Not knowing why we were dropped and what to do next with the little information we have. She also advised us both that previous counselling (mine 30 years back as a child) seemed ineffective and as my husband has only just had his through freshcurve counselling in Wellington not sure who to trust now? I’ve emailed but no response. My husband in particular had just lost his dad and was getting into some painful memories of his mother that have now stopped dead. We wouldn’t be at couples therapy if we could fix this ourselves. Isn’t help what you are selling? This feels cruel and very hurtful at an already very painful time for us.
