Our stay at Tenuta Schifanoia was nothing short of exceptional. From the stunning view to the impeccable service, everything exceeded our expectations. The villa was beautifully maintained, capturing the essence of Italian charm and luxury. The hosts were gracious and attentive, ensuring our comfort at every turn. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding countryside and local attractions. I highly recommend this villa to anyone lookint for an unforgettable Italian getaway. While traveling through Italy this was my favorite experience! We stayed at one of the largest, homey, welcoming villas with several uniquely decorated rooms perfect for a group of couples or family. Our villa comes with a pool, laundry facilities and a master chef to prepare authentic Italian meals, and provides cooking classes!
We enjoyed an exclusive experience to go truffle hunting with a local expert and an E-bike ride through the expansive countryside.
The staff at Tenuta Schifanoia made our stay truly special. Their attention to detail, and hospitality was evident in everything. Perhaps what I like the most was how quiet and serene it was. If you want a break from the busy, noisy city get yourself to Tenuta Schifanoia!

Recently, my spouse and I, along with a small group of close friends, had the incredible opportunity to spend three weeks traveling from Stuttgart, Germany, to Venice, Italy. Throughout the journey, we made several amazing multi-day stops, but one in particular stood out and left an unforgettable mark on us—our stay at Tenuta Schifanoia in Tuscany.

Though I don't typically leave reviews, I simply have to rave about this extraordinary experience. The location was beyond perfect, set in the idyllic countryside of Tuscany. The peaceful surroundings and stunning landscapes made it feel like a true escape, yet it was still conveniently located near some of Italy's most iconic cities—Florence, Milan, Bologna, and Venice. I could go on forever about the sheer beauty of this region.

The accommodations at Tenuta Schifanoia were nothing short of luxurious. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, and offered stunning views of the Tuscan hills. It was the perfect balance of rustic charm and modern comfort. Our host was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was flawless, treating us like family from the moment we arrived.

One of the highlights of our stay was the private chef who prepared exquisite meals every evening. The food was a celebration of local flavors, using fresh ingredients that elevated each dish into something memorable. We even had the chance to participate in a private cooking class, which was both fun and educational. Learning to make traditional Tuscan dishes from scratch was a highlight for all of us.

On top of that, Tenuta Schifanoia arranged some fantastic activities for our group, including an unforgettable truffle-hunting excursion. The thrill of finding truffles in the woods, followed by a meal that featured our finds, was such a unique experience! We also explored the countryside on e-bikes, taking in the rolling hills and vineyards at a relaxed pace while stopping at charming local spots for coffee and wine tastings.

Honestly, I can’t say enough positive things about this place. From the stunning location to the thoughtful details of our stay, every moment was magical. If you ever find yourself in Tuscany, staying at Tenuta Schifanoia is an absolute must. This place, and the people who run it, are truly something special.

Our family’s ten-day stay at Villa Colonica Tuoro, coming from San Francisco and New York, was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found a place that exceeded all our expectations. This charming villa was a perfect match for us, with its delightful kitchen, inviting dining and living areas, and cozy bedrooms—all authentically reflecting the enchanting Tuscan surroundings. It truly felt more like visiting dear friends, Cosimo and Monica, in their beautiful home than just a vacation.

The outdoor patio quickly became our central hub, where we enjoyed morning coffee beneath the canopy, overlooking an expansive acre of lush grass and rolling hills. Breakfasts were unforgettable, gathered around the lovely table for ten, and evenings were filled with laughter and stories on the comfortable canopied couches as we sipped cocktails and indulged in one extraordinary meal after another.

Also unforgettable were Sara, Rita and Marta. They not only cared for every one of us, they became part of our family. Sadly, they declined our offer to come back with us to California. 😀

Our days were a blend of adventure and relaxation—exploring Florence and Lucca, truffle hunting, and hiking through the picturesque fields. A highlight was discovering the magnificent Bosco ai Frati Convent, a hidden gem of history and beauty just a 20-minute stroll from the villa. Monica went above and beyond when she learned that two of us were passionate about fly fishing, arranging a special day on the Sieve River with an experienced guide.

Every moment at Villa Colonica Tuoro was a cherished memory in the making. We left with our hearts full and a deep appreciation for the beauty and warmth of this incredible place. Highly recommend for anyone seeking an unforgettable experience in Tuscany!

I recently had the pleasure of spending a week at Tenuta Schifanoia in Mugello, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and exceptional service that lasted throughout our stay.

The villa itself is a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after days filled with exploration and relaxation.

The grounds of Tenuta Schifanoia are simply stunning. Surrounded by the serene beauty of the Tuscan countryside, we enjoyed leisurely walks through the vineyards and olive groves, taking in the breathtaking views. The pool area was a highlight, offering a tranquil setting to unwind and soak up the sun.

One of the standout features of our stay was the exceptional cuisine. Each meal was a culinary delight, showcasing the freshest local ingredients and traditional Tuscan flavors. The wine from their own vineyard was exquisite and paired perfectly with the meals.

The location of Tenuta Schifanoia is ideal for exploring the Mugello region. We were able to visit charming nearby towns, historic sites, and even take a day trip to Florence, all within a short drive.

Above all, the staff at Tenuta Schifanoia made our stay truly special. Their attention to detail, friendliness, and dedication to ensuring we had a wonderful experience was evident in everything they did.

The location was perfect for us - surrounded by grain and sunflower fields with endless paths through them for our
morning and evening walks. Children enjoyed the bicycling and swimming.

Our fortnight stay was the more relaxing and enjoyable with the well managed team on hand always willing to help with whatever was needed.

The experience at this villa was absolutely wonderful ! Our host was so gracious and Marta, the house chef was one of our favorite parts of our trip. Her food was incredible, but so was her spirit! One of our favorite experiences was the Pizza Making Class. Do not miss out on that. The home was wonderful and the pool was a great addition to cool off from the summer heat. It's hard to describe how beautiful the surrounding land is as well, but this house was even better in person than in pictures. The mattresses were a bit firm, but other than that, it was truly a perfect stay! Use Monica to help book reservations as well because she was 10/10 on everything she recommended for us! So thankful for an incredible stay at this beautiful villa.

One of the best experiences we have had. The whole family came and we all loved it. The privacy, the beautiful grounds, the pool, many bedrooms with bathrooms for each of us, the fantastic breakfasts cooked every morning by Rita... This was a dream vacation location. Federica who was our contact and checked us in and out was a wealth of information and helped us with activities and questions. Such nice people that took care of us. The house is just beautiful and comfortable and very clean. The small towns nearby were fun to explore and we met the nicest people who run the businesses. We would stay here again and again. Our daughter asked if she could have her wedding here. Highly recommended.

This Villa was spectacular. It was impressively restored and immaculately clean. We had a lovely time and the breakfast provided was outstanding. I would love to return.

The villa is in a very beautiful spot, very comfortable. The breakfast service is outstanding, Rita brings lot’s of goodies for the mornings. Federica, the manager can get you reservations at best local places and tours. We had a fantastic family vacation at the villa.

My family and I stayed in one of the lovely apartments. The hosts were very friendly and extremely responsive, as well very flexible and accommodating with the check-in and check-out. The apartment exceeded our expectations. Overall a great apartment in a beautiful area with lots to see and great restaurants close by.

This is a beautiful villa within distance of Florence, Siena and Lucca.The setting is delightful and we arranged to watch some truffle hunting whilst we were there.A bonus for us as one of the dogs was a Hungarian vizsla as well as a Lagotto Romagnolo.Everything was to a high standard and they couldn’t do enough for us.We paid for a chef to come in and cook a few meals for us which was excellent.All the staff were delightful and very professional.We highly recommend it and hope we have the opportunity to go back.

I spent a week here with a family of 7 over the Easter break. The villa manager was amazing and helped us with everything. There were plenty of activities for everyone from day trips to Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Antinori Winery (must book the restaurant for lunch - just Amazing!!), Quad biking in the Tuscan Hills and Fly Fishing..... Marta, the private chef prepared feel meals for us, and to be honest - they were better than many restaurants we have been in the past 2 weeks in Italy - that is NOT easy. And then on the last day, we had a cooking class with Marta. Thank you to Monica, Feberica and Marta. See you next time.

Truly a magical place in Tuscany, and an amazing vacation from every aspect! We will most definitely return. Authentically, quintessential Tuscany. The food, the fabulous chef, the views, and conveniently located just a 40 minutes drive from Florence. We couldn’t have picked a better spot. Staying in this fabulously renovated Tuscan Villa complete with luxury furnishings made us feel as if in a home away from home.

We spent 3 weeks at the villa at Schifanoia farm and had the experience of a lifetime there. We were a large group with several small children and they did so much to make the house kid friendly for us. The views from backyard are breathtaking and the whole property is exactly what you would imagine when you picture a tuscan villa. The villa felt secluded yet was only a 5 minute drive to a nice town with great restaurants and gelato. You are also less than an hours drive to Florence and 1-2 hours away from several cities in tuscany such as Livorno and Pisa, so day trips are a breeze to plan and enjoy.

The staff were fantastic, especially our private chef Marta who was absolutely smashing. Her food was delicious and she was very accommodating to several specific diets including a vegetarian, a diabetic, and 4 small kids. The house was kept clean and there was no request too small for us to make that wasn't immediately addressed. I would highly recommend Schifanoia to anyone who is looking for a great way to enjoy a summer in tuscany!

If you truly want to understand food, culture and living in northern Tuscany, Colonica Tuori is where you begin. The villa had all of the character, amenities, views and service to make your stay truly unique within this region. Dinners in the villa were exceptional and worth the experience. We mixed our travel between visiting amazing local towns and restaurants that you would never find online to day trips to Florence, Venice and Siena, all within easy driving distance of the villa. Very happy to have had this experience with my family.

I spent a week here in May of 2022 with my family and two young kids and had a wonderful time staying at Colonica Tuori. The farmhouse has been renovated to a level you don't often find in rental homes. Bedrooms and bathrooms are beautiful and very comfortable. The daily maid service was excellent as the kitchen, pool and bedrooms were always clean and organized. Breakfast buffet was also very good. We booked the villa with a three dinners package which was nice so we didn't have to worry about cooking or going out all the time. Chef's Marta was great and always went the extra mile to make sure we were having a good time. She was even able to prepare some dishes for the kids. This place feels authentic. I would definitely go back.
