I represent a local Charity. We have used a school's auditorium for meetings for about 5 years with no problem - payment always made immediately on receipt of the invoice.
Now they are using SchoolHire. What a rubbish system. We have to pay months in advance and also there appears to be no way to remove VAT which has been automatically added. Complete rubbish.
Had a booking for an hour to use a 3G pitch. But when we arrived the gates were not open and we waited for 30 mins. In the end we had to get a member of staff to open the gates otherwise it may never had been opened. The booking was confirmed and my payment had gone through so they got our money but were not willing to open it up for us. On the web page there was no immediate contact only web chat with no guaranteed reply. Simply awful organisation from their behalf. And rather embarrassing especially when you have a group of people wondering why it’s not open.
Useful to have access to book facilities, but beware of site descriptions of facility being booked as it can be inaccurate and schoolhire.co.uk take no care in verifying the accuracy of the facility's own description of the facility. What we booked was not correctly advertised so will not go back to this venue.
