Scrapcarpickup.ca SCAMMERS!!!!

Mike and this company, scrapcarpickup.ca are complete scammers!!!!
I am an idiot ,and should have done my research. There are many reports of the exact same scam they pulled on me!!! I wish I knew before.
They quoted me one price , I even confirmed the price 2 times over text. When they showed up ,offered me HALF of what I was quoted. The kid that showed up even went so far as to tell me "I was lucky to get any money". The car still ran ,and was still drivable.
I would have donated the car if I knew I was gonna waste so much time, effort and gas money.
Do not use this company !!!!
Complete scammers.

Mike is a liar quoted me $3000 to $4000…

Mike is a liar quoted me $3000 to $4000 showed up and offered me $700 for a running 2015 Kia optima ex . I had no choice but to let it go as it was the last day I could store it and felt under pressure. Really scrued my family as I had an offer of $3500 that I turned down for them to be honest with them because they called me first. Horrible company.
They will have to stand before God and be accountable for this one day.

SCAMMERS SCAMMERS SCAMMERS, THIEVES THIEVES THIEVES

This guy called Mike is a scammer and a thief. He gave me a quote of $700 for my 2012 Ford Focus if I deliver the vehicle. I towed the vehicle from my place to his place. It was about 98km. The tow truck charged me $250. I got there and this Mike guy says he will pay me $300 and I should take it or leave it.
This guy basically paid me $50 for the car. Avoid this guy at all cost. Use a different company. Don’t fall for the words that comes out from his mouth. He will not honour it.

ABSOLUTELY SPAM!!

ABSOLUTELY SPAM!!
Even after confirming the price several times over text, call and email, they knock down the price to even LESS THAN HALF the quoted price!! They don't even call you straight to the scrap yard and after reaching there, 'Mike' would never answer his phone. Stay away from this place at all costs.

Scam

Asked for quote. Got a text from “Mike” offering 800-1000. Told him vehicle description and condition that it’s worth 1000. He texted yes and will have driver call to pick up. He called to say would be here between 8-9 pm. No show. No call. I texted “Mike” (seemed an alias). Said sorry and morning pickup. Afternoon.. no call. I texted. Returned call and said driver will call me “soon”. Did not. I texted around 10:30 pm to ask if it’s soon yet. SCAM!! I called number for business to deal with someone else. “Mike” answered. Recognized him. Now quoted 600-800!! Told him we exchanged texts with his quote and no show/no call. Put me on hold to answer another line. Hung up. Total SCAM!! Different numbers and same guy

Scam from start to finish. Stay away

Few weeks ago I called multiple scrap removal companies to have my Cobalt scrapped. Scrapcarpickup.ca gave the highest quote at $800 for the vehicle. The phone number I called was
416-838-1445. The other companies were all about $400-450. When the guy showed up to the pick up the car, he said the catalytic converter on my car was not original. I pointed out to him that it was all original and untouched. I even looked up online and showed him what the original look like to match on vehicle. He said he can pay me $300 max. Then he offered $350. Then $400. Kept arguing and being persistent. So I asked him how he's gonna extra $100 if the cat is no good. He said his boss told him so and he doesn't make decisions.

I refused to sell to him. I called another company and they came and picked up for $450 as promised on the phone.
