Think twice
I placed an order 15701 on 4 April 2024 for a HP splitter. I have been chasing the order for over two months. At first I was given some assurances despite delays and setbacks but now they have stopped replying. I do not have my order or my money.
I keep receiving e mails from them
I keep receiving e mails from them, the last was today. A few days ago it was "Congratulations you have won a five hundred pound voucher for SDS, We just ask you make a payment of fifty pounds to help with costs.
Ceased Trading
Ordered and paid for a dive computer and was advised it would need to be ordered in.
Rang two weeks later and was advised it would be in stock the following week and I would get a mail.
Left it two weeks, rang the shop continually - no pickup.
Drove to the shop to find it was closed with a notice advising the business had ceased trading.
Now have to go through all the paperwork to get a refund by chargeback. Thankfully I paid by credit card so can get the money back.
Purchased over the phone for equipment.
Purchased over the phone for service marker buoy and reel . Paid for. After 2 weeks of waiting I phone the shop and it was explained that it hadn’t come in .mike the customer service guy sold his smb and sent it to me , as he’d would take my kit once delivered to the shop.
That’s what I call customer service.
Absolutely rubbish
Absolutely rubbish, dont buy from them is my recommendation. 4 weeks after I placed an order and 4 weeks after they took payment they still havent supplied and are still unable to say when goods will arrive.
it says on their website that if something is out of stock you will get an email or phone call with the estimated date of arrival. I didnt recieve anything.

I`m very great-full of mikes patient approach and knowledge. very happy with my purchase. I`m visiting the shop in due course looking for Scubapro Exodry suit.

No idea of what good customer service is.
Ignored emails and when spoke to them on the phone, a flippant and unapologetic attitude that there is nothing they can do.
Still....they were efficient at taking my money and hiding behind a sofa.
Update, following SDS reply: I ordered the product on 19/03.
I sent an email on 31/03.
I sent another email on 5/04.
I phoned today.
I didn't get a response to either email. You seem convinced that this is my problem. Funny how lots of the reviews are similar to mine. No contact with the customer after you've got their money.
SDS used to be a great company. It's a shame that your reputation is being killed by your inability to maintain an email system.
You obviously knew that you didn't have the product in stock, and in fact, you boast about your inability to maintain stock levels on your website. You could have phoned me to say there was a delay.
Or you could push all responsibility onto the customer and blame them for your poor processes.

Been waiting over 3 months :(
I ordered a rash suit on 13th of December. At the end of December, I decided to send them an email to follow up on my order as I had not heard anything since receiving the confirmation email. I got no reply to my emails so emailed again in January. This email was answered and I was told I would receive an update on my order later that day. We are now at the end of March and I still have not received my order, neither have I been given an update. Two e-mails were sent again this week but no answer!
I heard really good things about SDS before placing my order but honestly feel scammed now.. If they are unable to get my order from their suppliers then just refund me! :(
Poor Customer Service
Not told they had no stock in of an item. Not given an estimated delivery of item. Only found out they didn’t have any stock after contacting them for a delivery date. Was told several times over a 4 week period that my item would be delivered the following week, only to call at week 4 for an update to be told ‘the supplier is out of stock’. Due to this I asked for a refund and this is also proving to be an arduous process. Poor customer service and no apology when asked why I was told to expect delivery every week for 4 weeks when they didn’t even have any stock.

Shocking company…ordered some forth…
Shocking company…ordered some forth element gear for a dive trip, fly out in 5 days, ordered stuff nearly a month ago.
Sent a mail after 2 weeks to be told they were expecting stock that eeek, have heard nothing since despite 3 emails being sent.
Have also sent 2 mails requesting a refund….total silence…..avoid like the plague

Regulator Service
Dropped my regs in for a service on 8th October 2022 - was told that it could be up to 3 weeks which I said was fine as next dive holiday was 12th November.....3 weeks went by and heard nothing so phoned SDS to be told parts had not arrived but would be there Tuesday 1st November and assured that regs would be ready end of week....end of week came heard nothing so phoned again to be told same story.....parts will be arriving Tuesday 8th November and we'll prioritise your regs ready for your holiday....heard nothing so phoned yet again on the Tuesday to be told parts still not arrived????? They basically had no idea when i would get my regs back could be next week could be next year so decided at this point to collect my regs and resigned myself to the fact that i'd have to rent some (this was never offered as an alternative from SDS BTW).... to the guys at SDS......I understand there may be a problem with parts but please be honest guys and give customers a chance to get there stuff serviced elsewhere......i'm very fortunate that my friend has a contact and has managed to get my regs sorted for me this week - your customer service needs a lot of work!

Paid £115 for diving fins online on 10th September, no sign of order, no answer to phone calls (3 of them during the week), emailed on 2nd October over 3 weeks after order placed and no reply. Not possible to speak to anyone and cannot get a refund. Please help!

They took £300 from me : still no order and no response to emails
A month ago i made an order with SDS water sports. The amount was immediately debited from my account but i did not recieve an order confirmation. I have now sent 3 emails that have received no response and of course, i have never received the items. Now i would just like a refund as they owe me over £300. Do not use this site, such a poor level of customer service is inexcusable these days.
