You will not get a refund!!!
Their email address doesn't work, they don't respond on social media, there's no phone number. I ordered 3 bikinis, they're all such poor quality and looks nothing like their pictures and I want to return them all but can't!
Awful, do not buy from this company, it's fake…
Well I wish I'd read the reviews below before ordering from this awful company!! The swimsuits arrived without any labels or tags at all, really bad quality and with no delivery note. I tried to contact Seafancy to return the goods and they would not give me return details, just told me it would be too expensive and complicated for me to return them - which all felt very weird and unusual. They offered me a 30% refund instead. I then asked again if I could please return the items for a full refund, and this time they offered a 65% refund - I agredd to this as I was fed up by this point. However, they then calculated the 65% refund from a lower amount than what I had paid. They claim to have issued the refund 2 weeks ago but I am yet to receive it.
The website looks so good and the swimsuits advertised look great - this is not the case at all and I agree that this company needs to be reported to trading standards and taken off line.
Avoid SeaFancy, they are rubbish!
Oh dear I should have checked other reviews and not simply from Facebook!
The swimming costume doesn't fit - their size chat is wrong. They don't respond to emails, eventually I had a reply from messenger. They discourage rerurns as they have to go to US, despite having UK distribution centres, they offer 30% refund to keep the item... which clearly is useless if you can't wear it. I managed to get them to refund me 60% and it took 3.5 weeks to receive payment, and regular nagging on messenger. The swim costume has been donated to a charity shop. Just don't both with Seafancy.
Avoid this company.
Oh dear. I do wish I’d done my homework before ordering anything. Looked like a uk based company. My items didn’t arrive in time for my holiday and so I tried to return. No invoice or return info with the items.
I’ve now been asked to pay to post items back to NJ in the USA as despite having uk distribution centres, returns must go back to main distribution centre. Utter nonsense.
I’ve now been offered £65 refund to just keep the entire order which I’m likely to do as I don’t think I’ll see any of my cash by trying to get the return address.
I’ll not be shopping with them again 😔
Please report this company to trading…
Please report this company to trading standards!
Targeting a UK market (UK domain name) and transacting in GBP whilst withholding return information is fraudulent. Under section 32 of the Consumer Rights Act, they must provide a reasonable option for return. Expecting consumers to assume return costs to the states is not reasonable.
Their business model relies on attempts to convince you to accept a partial refund…minus their delivery costs, which they advertised as free based on increased spending. They are aware that the quality is poor and the garments are overpriced and are attempting to offload by making it almost impossible for consumers to return poor quality items.
This is a scam and should not go unsanctioned.
ABSOLUTELY AVOID!!!!
ABSOLUTELY AVOID!!!!
I wish I had checked Trustpilot before ordering anything from them.
I ordered 3 items in early Feb. It’s now 27th March and I have only received 2 swim suits not even as good as I thought they would be!!
My emails are completely ignored.
It all comes from China and there was no receipt in the pack that arrived. I agree, it’s not a UK company or legitimate website. The reviews on the website must be fake
Not UK company despite .co.uk
Website looks like UK company but it’s not, so shipping takes time and then they effectively don’t want returns. I ordered a selection of things to try and wanted to return the majority of my order, keeping only two items.
You have to email to request a return, they’ll offer you a low % back to not bother, ask again and they’ll offer 65% as others have said.
At this point I doubted I would see any money back if I dared to return the items and accepted the 65%. Fingers burnt, lesson learnt. Would not order again… it’s incredibly misleading company. After many weeks I did get my £60odd refund but out of pocket and items I can’t use.
My advice - avoid.
Sea Fancy - AVOID AND DO NOT BE RIPPED OFF LIKE ME
Do not attempt to buy from this company - they are complete crooks! The items arrived FINALLY (from a Leicester address) after a fortnight and the sizing is completely wonk and the tops would not fit anyone! The company will not give me a valid return address and are now offering a 65% refund anyway! Doesn't add up and can see me having to request a refund via my credit card company. Appear to be China based.
Do not trust them-they change names and…
Do not trust them-they change names and offer cute pictures and sales. They lie and don't even tell you where to return. Then they waste your time trying to negotiate, meanwhile they will not give you a return address! Check reviews on google and run the other way!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
I very much wish that I'd read these reviews before ordering from this company.
I ordered 3 items. One never arrived because it was out-of-stock (although they didn't tell me this until I queried why it hadn't arrived). The other two were poor quality and didn't fit so I requested a return. As others have experienced, it's only then that they tell you that the return has to go to the USA and be tracked i.e. very expensive. Eventually I got a 65% refund but I'm out-of-pocket and left with goods that don't fit and are of no use to me.
Seafancy co.uk INFERIOR
I regret to my cost not taking the time to read reviews before purchasing from this inferior website.
Product when received looks like a quick copy of photographs on the website with no labels attached or instructions.
Then when you attempt to get a refund you are informed to return item to USA at your own cost and risk. This is from a company trading under co.uk.
Oh by the way you can keep the product that doesn't fit you and they will give you a 30% refund.
After many emails I finally got a 70% refund. Totally deceptive I would have given no star if website had allowed. Advice Avoid.
Okay product, but not brilliant service
I read the reviews on here after ordering swimsuits for my wife and my daughter and actually emailed the company to cancel the order, but was informed that it had already been shipped. They took about 3 weeks to arrive, but to my relief my wife's is actually fine - good fit and looks like it does in the advert. My daughter has not tried hers yet as it is a Christmas present. Even though it says UK on the web address I get the impression that it is actually Chinese. I would not rush to order from them again.
- 5 is a more realistic rating
- 5 is a more realistic rating. Total crap. Have been totally ripped off by yet another rubbish buy from China , supplier in disguise as European. Do not waste your money. There ought to be laws against thieves like this selling in the UK. Total waste of time attempting a return and refund. It costs you more money to post it back to not get a refund. I've been an idiot. Please avoid at all costs.
Be very wary of buying from this…
Be very wary of buying from this company if there is any chance that you will need to return items. I bought 2 swimsuits at around £60 and unfortunately neither of them were right for me. The wrinkly fabric was awful - the sort that catches on your skin and feels like it could generate sparks.
I then started the process of returning them which was long and complicated, and I discovered that my returns would have to be sent to America. I already knew that the cost of returns was to be covered by me but the website is vague when it comes to return information. Had I known that items would need to be sent back to the US I certainly would not have bought anything from Seafancy. After a visit to the post office I found out that the cost to return the swimsuits would be nearly £30! You should also be aware that the company strangely keeps offering you percentages of the cost of your order as a temptation to keep it - very weird - and when you find out how much shipping costs are, taking a 70% refund turns out to be the best option. From my original £60 spend I got back around £37, so losing £23. I did manage to keep communicating with the company, unlike lots of other customers but there's a lack of transparency that makes you feel like you're dealing with a dodgy company and that you won't get your money back.
All-in-all, buying from Seafancy was a very unpleasant experience which has made me write this review. It may be alright if you buy something that fits and you keep it, and to be fair, some of the swimsuits look nice but there is something very odd about the way this company operates. Please be careful.
Very Surprised
This is copied from another review but reflects my experience exactly cant fault the process delivery a week or quality of item what is concerning is that an international business is advertising as a co.uk that needs to be addressed as it is fraudulent.....
read the reviews after having placed my order and felt the dread. But my swimwear was delivered today and it is lovely! I followed the measurements guide on the website and it fits perfectly. The quality seems perfect and the colours are lovely, as expected. I’m very happy with my purchase
STILL NO “REFUND!”
It took a month to arrange a “return” (which wasn’t actually a return as the agreement was that a “part refund!” would be better for me, the customer, than sending back to the US!)
Let’s just say, I have checked my bank daily and no refund has been issued.
Months have passed and like so many others I feel utterly scammed by this company. Daylight robbery I think you call it!
PLEASE DO NOT BE AS NAIIVE AS I WAS AND STEER CLEAR AT ALL COSTS!
After my awful review and numerous…
After my awful review and numerous amount of emails , I can now confirm that I have finally received my refund which was due to receiving a faulty Tankini. It has been an absolute pain to get what I derserved but it was worth it. Cynthia was extremely patient sadly would not buy again from this company.
Dubious (& meetcurve swimsuit business operates in the same manner).
Completely duped by a ".co.uk" URL. I honestly felt that "seafancy.co.uk" was a legitimate UK website. Only once I had purchased and noted delivery £6.99 standard was between 6 - 15 days did I think.... "Oh Dear!!"... 17Track is the delivery partner so guess what? Yes... China. I noted Seafancy email being the only method of contact; a ".com" not a ".co.uk" service email so definitely not a UK based business. Warning signs led me to trustpilot and it seems many UK customers have been 100% mislead. I have yet to receive the items... not hopeful in respect of the quality, judging by the reviews and even more so, not in any way hopeful to receive any adequate assistance to return and obtain a refund - which I think I might need! I have reported Seafancy to the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau (NFIB) via the Action Fraud Website. If you choose to do so, then do not be alarmed by not having an address, company registration number etc. State 'NONE' is all these sections. The only contact details to include in the report is the company website and email, together with your description of the retail issue and experiences & it doesn't take too long. I would advise it. Online Businesses such as seafancy.co.uk are effectively "stealing" from you. Shameful. Might I add, a similar branded company known as meetcurve.co.uk is trading swimwear in exactly the same manner so be warned, the 'global business' has bought a uk domain name, just as seafancy has. The hosting company IONOS sells domains for as little as £10 per year. Go figure!!
Do NOT trust
I have sent three message to request a refund but am getting nowhere. Scammers. Trying to sort it out via ebay.
Sea fancy returns can only be made to the USA
After getting my credit card company involved i finally got some information from sea fancy about returning the costumes that were unsuitable.
This has involved me paying a £32 postage bill with no contribution from sea fancy to return items to the USA with no guarantee of getting my money back because sea fancy claim that they'll be inspecting the items closely!!
After which they will determine if I can receive my money back
I have now reported them to Google online and I'm also reporting them to trading standards.
The company clearly rely on people not wanting to return their goods given the extortionate amount of money it costs to do so which is why they offer such a ridiculous level of discount I was offered the maximum they claimed they could offer of 75% but what's the point of retaining costumes that do not fit!! Even with such a massive discount
They did not want to agree to my suggestion that they reimburse me given the considerable inconvenience I was being put to as this has been ongoing since June and that I donate the items to charity.
Trustpilot I'm disappointed that we have to give any rating at all there should be the opportunity to give a zero star rating
